Terrain mastery gives a horizon walker a bonus on checks involving a skill useful in that terrain, or some other appropriate benefit. A horizon walker also knows how to fight dangerous creatures typically found in that terrain, gaining a +1 insight bonus on attack rolls and damage rolls against creatures with that terrain mentioned in the Environment entry of their descriptions. The horizon walker only gains the bonus if the creature description specifically lists the terrain type.

Horizon walkers take their terrain mastery with them wherever they go. They retain their terrain mastery bonuses on skill checks, attack rolls, and damage rolls whether they’re actually in the relevant terrain or not.

Share Spells (Ex): At the druid’s option, she may have any spell (but not any spell-like ability) she casts upon herself also affect her animal companion. The animal companion must be within 5 feet of her at the time of casting to receive the benefit. If the spell or effect has a duration other than instantaneous, it stops affecting the animal companion if the companion moves farther than 5 feet away and will not affect the animal again, even if it returns to the druid before the duration expires. Additionally, the druid may cast a spell with a target of “You” on her animal companion (as a touch range spell) instead of on herself. A druid and her animal companion can share spells even if the spells normally do not affect creatures of the companion’s type (animal).

Miscellaneous Information

Ihdald is an Aquatic Elf who wants to prove to himself that he is a great fighter in any arena, be it plain, sea, mountain, forest, or any other.

Fight Cycle 1:
-After his first fight, and loss, he became even more determined to grow stronger.
-Continuing his losses during his cycle of three fights, he begins to grow discouraged, but refuses to give up.
-Finally winning with the aide of a fellow elf, Andurwin, and gaining a respect for the strength of land elves.

Fight Cycle 2:
-Darrgon fought against him valiantly, but Ihdald remained diligent and took down his summons and even the wizard himself, but admires him for a grand fight.
-Was forced to fight Andurwin, who proved to be to much, and lost.
-Enjoyed a senic view from a roof while shooting at Sali Kan and Khabil, and taking second.
-Growing stronger from his final fight, Ihdald learned a ritual to gain an ally. Preforming it, he received a crocodile to aid him in battle, bought a whistle, and trained himself in how to handle and train it.

Fight Cycle 3:
-Teamed with Indrithia against Pestilence, he knew he had little chance, but fought on anyway, to little success. Followed up by a session with Cuddles to teach her to attack.
-Pitted against a mounted knight, Geoffrey, he knew he had little chance of winning, but tried anyway, to little prevail.
-Fought "Lucky", and won due to his opponents ignorance of elven powers.

Fight Cycle 4:
-Fought Vivi, and defeated him and his elemental Aero, with the aid of Cuddles.
-With a brand new animal, and teamed with a fellow elf by the name of Ventr, thier combined efforts took down a Dwarven Horseman, Pestilence.
-Facing a half giant, and trying his hardest, Ihdald is disarmed completely and surrenders.

Fight Cycle 5:
- Against Kilpquabjeg, along with her many allies, he tried as best he could, but collapsed due to her psionics.
- Against Mssr. Hood, and The Undertaker, who was M.I.A., was taken down fairly quickly by the psionic archer.
- Obliterated by a goblin psion, but at least he got his bow enchanted afterwards.

Fight Cycle 6:
- His freshly enchanted bow came in great handy while defeating Kilpquabjeg, which puts the record between himself and her, at 1:1. A spectacular fight!
- After his first fight, Ihdald dawned on a mistake he had been making all this time. He decided he would never make it again, and grew stronger due to the new knowledge! In addition, he began an new practice that he had read about in this Surface World. A Horizon Walker, they called it. Through extensive study of the "Forest", he became better at hiding. He also learned how to fight the "Forest"'s beasts more effectivly.(Yesh, that means he leveled up...)
- After a -never ending- fight with Andurwin, using up both every arrow he had, AND a significant amount of charges from his wand of Cure Light Wounds, he finally came out on top due to getting his opponent into melee. Although poor Confuzzled was burnt to a crisp in the lava very early on. Poor little guy... Andurwin! We salute you!
- Teamed with Andurwin (Good ol' Irony), they took down two Lizard people (Kobolds). Dealing with a mace to the groin in the fight, Ihdald has decided to stop his arena career for a bit, and head back home. Temporarily, meerly to tell his family and friends of his fights!

The Trip Home:
-As it turned out, when Ihdald got to his home, a Stronghold deep below the water's surface, a tribe of Sahuagin were assaulting it. He, of course, joined in and helped defeat them. During the fight, however, one of the few resident Lords that lived in the Stronghold was mortally wounded, and was barely saved from death to the Sahuagin Chief by Ihdald. The Lord died soon afterwards, but made Ihdald his hier to thank him. Normally, Ihdald would not have accepted such a title, but for respect of his superior, he did. He aided in the clean up as much as he could, told the Stronghold's citizens of his matches and experiences in Gladius, and began his return trip. He got back soon afterwards, with a newfound fire for combat.

Down by the Dockside
- To join WAR, Ihdald was instructed to head to the Duken Marina District of Gladius and look about for Celestial Forces, to stop them from expanding into there. He didn't find anything of the sort. During his search, he found a woman in distress, being attacked by three large beasts. He -tried- to help, but was slaughtered by two of the three skeletal beasts.

He did, however, find a package waiting for him upon his return home. Yes, the new shield. Yes, he paid for it. Just RP there.

When in social situations, which is most everything except the arena, Ihdald tends to speak in Elven, unless he is fully aware someone is around who can't. He is usually respectful of people, including those obviously weaker than him, although he can get cocky occasionally.

There are a few types of people he can't stand at all though; mainly Dwarves, Sahuagin, and to a lesser extent, Tritons. Sahuagin are his natural enemies, Dwarves, what with living underground and all, always struck the water-loving elf as far too odd to have any good intentions, and Tritons, well, no one really knows why he doesn't like Tritons.

When dealing with superiors, those he considers equals, or pretty much anyone else, he is quite respectful, and pays rather close attention, in the hopes of learning something from them. He also tends to offer his services in any way he can, if one needs it. As many have found out though, he knows when he is being used, and thus can't be taken advantage of easily.

Ihdald stands at Five feet tall, and beaing rather thin at a mere 88 pounds. He has fairly long raven black hair, usually pulled back to prevent it from getting in his sight. His skin is a pale blue above water, but when seen underwater, it seems to glow an almost sapphire hue. His eyes are a scarlet color, which is rather odd for his people. His hands and feet are both webbed, due to his Aquatic heretige, and he sports a pair of gills, on either side of his neck. His armor is custom made to leave the gills exposed, to prevent his suffocation. While he may seem scrawny due to his light weight, most of his body is muscled.

Ihdald touches the healing scars on his fair skin gingerly, wincing as he does. Thank goodness for the Nimbus!

And yet here he is again in the twilight, strolling through the fish-smelling streets of Duken Marina, searching for answers to a question that may not even exist!

The prince sighs. Such are the lives of those embroiled in politics.

Ihdald is shrugging his longbow into a more comfortable position on his shoulder when he catches a glimpse of a familiar shadowy figure as it darts around the corner of a building just ahead.

Smiling grimly, the prince unshoulders his longbow and advances carefully while he sets an arrow to the string. Paybacks are the province of Hades, my shadowy friend.

As he approaches the mouth of the alleyway, he just catches a hint of movement about 40' down the narrow corridor, near the cobblestoned ground. Drawing nearer, his delicate sense of smell picks up the odour of sewage.

Lovely.

Sighing in resignation, Ihdald waits a few moments and then lowers himself down the drain carefully.

He finds himself in a sewer tunnel, and hears the sound of running footsteps in the distance. In the failing light, he spies a flesh-picked skeleton against the far wall dressed in rotted clothes. Ihdald tears the cloth into strips and wraps them around a femur, and then tips just a drop of alchemist's fire onto the makeshift torch to get it burning.

He follows the direction of the footsteps down the damp and odiferous tunnel, following the tracks left by his quarry with his trained ranger eye.

Soon enough the sound of rushing water can be heard echoing off the stone walls. With every step forward the sound grows louder, until the reverberation can be felt in the very stone beneath his feet. Rounding a bend in the tunnel, Ihdald can see a grand hall of a sewer nexus, some eighty feet in diameter, with a noxious pool of...something swirling in the center. Numerous falls of water and offal cascade into the room from overhead pipes, adding thousands of gallons of refuse to the pool by the second. Thanks to his elven vision, Ihdald detects the presence of the shadowy figure on the other side of the room, waiting patiently.

This can't be good.

The prince jams the torch into a crack in the tunnel wall and readies himself. The shadowy figure raises a hand to its head and Ihdald can just barely hear the tinny sound of a whistle...

Ihdald Spot: 18+10=28
Monster(s) Hide: 20; 24.

Ihdald's eyes catch twin disturbances on the surface of the water. They're big, whatever they are. And coming toward him at great speed...

Ihdald: 20!+3=23.
Two Huge Monsters: 3.

No surprise round.

I'm no good with maps, so we'll use the temple.

Here's the deal. Directly to the south of Ihdald is the tunnel he came through. For our purposes, it is out-of-bounds for this encounter. If you want me to think of a reason why, I can, but I'm in a hurry. =)

The statues all over the map are waterfalls, and are DANGEROUS in the way that tons of free-falling water can be. They block LOS and LOE.

The lava doesn't exist, but represents the edge of the "swirling water" that I mentioned in the description above. The depth of the "water" is unknown, as is its composition. It can't be healthy to breathe...that's for sure. The Huge Statue is a whirlpool in the center of the swirling water.

The raised ground around the edge of the map is waist-deep water, which Ihdald is standing in.

Any questions about map features?

If no, then it's your turn.

The creatures are submerged except for small parts of their anatomy that break the surface.

It's gotta be big things, don't it? Always does... *nods to self*

What's that? Map questions? No, not really. Your explanation was more than sufficient, and no, no real need to explain why the passage is out of bounds. Ihdald shouldn't need to run away this time.. Well, actually, this "shadowy figure" I keep hearing about, is he not in the map, or was the image you gave not wide enough to show his location? I don't intend to involve him with those two still alive, though. I'm merely curious.

Not liking what he sees, especially the speed of the creatures, Ihdald braces himself for the attack by saying his shield and bow's command words and loosing all the arrows he can manage in time at the one on the right, and informs Confuzzled to assault the same one.

Should be, three arrows I think, since it's not a surprise round and rapid shot, with, this time I can hope, SOME effect from the electricity. I mean really, they're in a water-like substance... Conductivity and whatnot... Oh well, if it helps, yay, if not, oh well.

Murmuring his command words in haste, Ihdald sights along his drawn arrow, looking for a weak spot in the creatures' armor. The shadows around the creatures seem to draw away from his close scrutiny, and the bulk of the creatures become apparent, as well as their deadly teeth.

Rows of them, as long as his forearm.

Thankfully, the water is shallow enough that the monsters cannot take full advantage of its cover, and Ihdald's trained hands go to work, loosing three arrows with blinding speed. Two of them penetrate the scaly hide of the beast on the left, drawing a hiss of pain that reaches the prince's ears even over the roar of the water. Marvelling at the toughness of the creatures, he whistles and points at the beast on the right, and Confuzzled swims ahead, closing the distance.

The creatures move almost as one, great tails threshing the water behind them as they draw closer. The suction generated by the whirlpool pulls at them, slowing their approach somewhat.

Eh? Confuzzled is uncommanded? Odd, didn't I saw he was to attack the one on the right earlier? Aye, looks like I did. Oh well. It'd make more sense if I had him go for the other one either way, so let's go with that then.

Shuddering from the sight of the monstrous teeth, Ihdald decides he doesn't want to see them any closer than he is now, and looses another series of arrows at the creature. He also decides to make use of Confuzzled and tells him to attack the other one, to perhaps slow it's movement toward himself, or stop it entirely, if Confuzzled is lucky.

Another rapid shot, and telling good ol' Confuzzled to attack the other, of course.
TheMagister

12-30-06, 08:07 PM
Apologies! I don't know how I missed that. I was wondering to myself why you weren't using Confuzzled as a speedbump (at least) to slow whichever one you weren't shooting at. I'll go back and edit. [DONE] I'll also detail the next round's results in this post.

Ihdald fires yet again, sending two more arrows sizzling into the flest of the monster on the left. These have more of an effect, digging deep into its scaly hide.
[20 dmg]

Confuzzled charges his mark, ducking underwater as he goes to avoid the beast's snapping jaws and terrifying teeth.
[I can't see a reason to FORCE a snake to attack ONLY on the surface of the water. It would seem like a natural instinct to me to go the safest route by using the water as improved cover against the larger creature.]
There is no reaction from Confuzzled's target; perhaps its hide is too thick for the viper's fangs?

The two monster again move in concert, but the one on the right is slowed by Confuzzled's nipping fangs and slithery coils; it is almost comical to see the snake climb atop the beast's face to block its sight. Valuable time is gained when the monster stops to shake the snake off!

The one on the left overcomes the current around the vortex with sheer muscle and mass, and Ihdald gets an up-close and personal view of its jagged teeth, only inches from his tender elven flesh! Nimbus or not, that will NOT be a pleasant way to go...

Ihdald, -really- not liking the teeth and big creature in front of him, bolts as far to his right as possible and looses two more arrows into the creature, hoping it falls before it gets close enough to show him those "pearly whites".

Grand, well, speedbump Confuzzled is doing his job I suppose. Anyway, Ihdald is moving to the right one movement, and shooting off two arrows into the thing he's been attacking. I'll probably regret not going with the Rapid shot later though. Oh well...

Okay, I need some clarification here. A character can't move + full attack in one round (without 3.0 haste or the hustle power, anyway), so what you're asking me to do is one of three things:
1) 5' step and full attack (in which case you should rapid shot), or
2) double move into the corner, using the waterfalls as obstacles for the big thing with the teeth, and full attacking next round (rapid shot again), or
3) single move toward the corner and single shot.

Help me out.

Darn, I thought what I was trying to do sounded weird. OK, well then, I'm gunna say... 5' step then rapid shot. Sorry bout' that.

As you wish. And here we go. Come on, natural 20!!

Blanching at the teeth, Ihdald holds his ground and shouts encouragement to Confuzzled, who is running interference gamely against a much larger opponent.

With a twitch of his finely honed legs, the prince gains a bit of room and sends more arrows into the very maw of the adjacent monster from point-blank range.

The first shaft slices cleanly into the beast's upper mouth, piercing the soft tissue and emerging from the top of its head, covered in gray matter. The creature shudders, but (terrifying in its hunger) continues to approach. Before the first arrow completely finishes quivering, however, Ihdald lodges another only inches from the first, and the monster hisses one last time and collapses in the liquid, causing a wave to slap muck and offal into the prince's face.
[20! [confirm 13+11=24] Dmg: 24. 9+11=20. HIT. Dmg: 10.]

Beast1 (green): -11/xx
(don't we always take 'em to 1 before the last shot is overkill?)

Undeterred by the nausea-provoking odour, Ihdald levels his last shot at the mass of the far beast and is rewarded with a hiss of pain.
[19+6=25. Hit! Dmg: 10.]

Confuzzled nips and bites at the soft underbelly of the second monster, and a loud hiss denotes success. Ihdald can detect no effect from his friend's poison fangs, however.
[12+4=16. HIT! Dmg: 1. Fort: 9+9=18. Not poisoned.]

The creature disdains to deal with the snake and moves towards Ihdald quickly, obeying the last command from the shadowy figure.
[Overrun Confuzzled: {Stan}, move closer {move}]

Confuzzled nips again, and again succeeds in piercing the armored hide.
[15+4=19. Hit! Dmg: 1. Fort: 11+9=20. Not poisoned.]

Ihdald once again is confronted by gnashing tooth and pulsing gullet.

[My bad. Here you go. (in response to post below)]

Question: Has the creature based Ihdald, or is it still some distance away?

Sorry! Edited in map above.

I see I see, thank you!

Whistling for Confuzzled to attack the creature again, Ihdald tries to keep calm when confronted with such a creature by stepping back to the left a bit and firing three more arrows into the second of these beasts, and thinking as clearly as he can to invoke some health from his enchanted shield.

5' ft step left, rapid shot, use the heartening ability from the shield [instant effects are so nice] for 5 free hp with a 4 minute timer, and a nervous whistle to Confuzzled to have him attack again.
TheMagister

12-30-06, 11:13 PM
Already had the Vigor going, but had the time wrong. You don't really need to handle Confuzzled again, he'll continue attacking.

Here goes!

Whispering a plea to his elven gods, Ihdald adjusts to his left this time and ratchets off three more whistling shafts, his prayers riding on each one. To his joy, all three shafts strike true, and hot red ichor splatters the prince's face, heated by the beast's rage and his crackling projectiles.
[Three PBS hits, 13+10+8=31 dmg]

Confuzzled charges the toothy horror from behind, but comes up with a mouthful of scale.

The giant crocodile, for that is indeed what this monstrosity is called by the folk of the Marina in hushed tones, heaves its bulk out of the sewage. The foul morass sheets down the sides of its scaled flanks, and carrion reptile-breath assaults Ihdald's nostrils. The flickering makeshift torch cannot illuminate the depths of the creature's pink gullet, but perhaps Ihdald will get a somewhat more...personal view in a moment, unless his gods have not totally deserted him.

With a grunting hiss of expectancy, the croc lunges forward, jaws wide.
...
And Ihdald cannot evade the massive teeth! The primordial reptile unexpectedly turns its head to the side as it lunges, and the teeth close crushingly around the prince's chest and legs, twisting joints and piercing flesh. Ihdald cannot control his vocal response to the intense pain, but his scream emerges a weak thing, for he cannot draw the breath necessary to fuel even a whisper...the pressure is too great.
[16+11=27. HIT! Dmg: 19. Imp. Grab Croc: 36 vs. I: impossible.]

End Round 4:
Ihdald, 33/47 hp, AC 20; vigor 5 (ended), animated shield (long), shocking longbow (long), 12 arrows lost (hit/whirlpool), grappling
Confuzzled, 18/18 hp, AC 16; charged
Beast1(green): -68/xx hp; dead
Beast2(magenta): -43/xx hp; grappling

[What do you do? Read the PHB for grappling options: pg. 156, or check the SRD. You can still do this!]
Milov

A grapple... and from that thing! My chances of getting out of it, or doing much of anything? Let's see here... His grapple check:... That's alot. Ihdalds:... This doesn't look good. I don't particularly know what you're seeing when you say I can still pull this off, but I might as well try this then.

Actually, I don't know if I -CAN- do this. Can Ihdald draw and use alchemists fire? And if he can, I have two follow up questions... Those being:
1. Can he toss it down the croc's gullet, and have it explode on it's insides?
2. Since it's a huge creature, and this would thusly apply to all huge creatures, does the splash effect of it affect it multiple times, due to the size taking up multiple adjacent spots?

I have a lot of work to do (it's the end of the year and a Sunday, which means nothing to you, I know, but means a buncha extra work for me tonight), so I won't be as present as I was last night. This'll be over in no more than 2 rounds either way, win or lose. You DO have an option (though it's admittedly a pretty sorry one). You could always punch it in the nose (the "attack with a light weapon at a -4 penalty). And there's always trusty 'ol Confuzzled. Good luck, and think hard!
Oh. Drawing a light weapon in a grapple requires a successful grapple check, so it's not really a viable option here to try for the alkyfire. Don't you wish you had armor spikes? I love them armor spikes. Or even a [Ma] Spiked Gauntlet? Hood's got one of those.

Yeah, I'm sadly learning what equipment I should be getting AFTER the questing occurs. Tis' getting a bit annoying. Oh well. I can hope for amazing rolls here I suppose. Not really much else I can do, eh? And it's fine if you don't have alot of time, being busy is understandable. Even if this doesn't end tonight, there's still tomorrow and Tuesday.

Oh, one last thing. With the vigor for 5 hp, shouldn't Ihdald have 52, as opposed to the 47 he has normally? Or did I miss something farther up, as I might have?

Grunting through the pain, and hoping that Confuzzled can show his worth ten-fold, Ihdald attempts an age old trick of smashing in the croc's nose with his fist, in the hopes that every sailor he ever met has told him the truth...

Natural 20s... if ever I needed you... Now would be good...
TheMagister

12-31-06, 07:57 PM
No, I think I did the addition/subtraction twice. 47+5=52. 52-19=33. They just hurt that bad once they get ahold of you. Oh, and don't feel at all bad about not knowing what equipment to have ahead of time. This is all a learning experience here; that's what it's for. Look at all the successes and failures as such and both become a lot easier to deal with. You can't take it as a judgement of your intelligence or proficiency; we all have room to grow and learn.

Ihdald grips his bow even tighter and uses the wood to add additional punch to his blows. He hammers his fist into the croc's nose and eyes, and is rewarded with two satisfying squishy thumps as his bolstered fist strikes true!
[15+9-4(light weapon in grapple)=20. HIT! Dmg: 1d3+3 = 5 subdual. 17+4-4(light wpn in grpl) = 17. HIT! Dmg: 1d3+3 = 6 subdual. ELEVEN subdual total.]

The giant reptile hisses dazedly from the punches, but maintains its solid grip.

Confuzzled hustles to his master's rescue, and nips at the croc's soft underbelly while it is distracted with Ihdald's beating, and lands a solid blow. The beast remains unfazed by the venom.
[Confuzzled with a 2 dmg strike!]

The croc clamps down on the prince's frame, bringing another scream of pain, but Ihdald manages to work his knee up in between the croc's teeth! The makeshift brace catches the croc with his mouth too wide, and the hulking creature cannot close its maw to finish off the battling prince!
[Croc - Imp. Grab hold for Auto Bite damage: 3+21=24. Possible Dmg: 2d8+12=21. I - Opposed Grapple: 19+9=28. GRAPPLE ATTEMPT BLOCKED!!]

End Round 5:
Ihdald, 33/47 hp, AC 20; vigor 5 (ended), animated shield (long), shocking longbow (long), 12 arrows lost (hit/whirlpool), grappling
Confuzzled, 18/18 hp, AC 16; charged
Beast1(green): -68/xx hp; dead
Beast2(magenta): -45/xx hp (11 non-lethal); grappling

Oh, man... Best and most exciting round EVER.

Still scared for his life, Ihdald continues hammering the croc's nose, hoping it all ends soon, and not in the bad way.

Woah. Wooooooah. He... WON a grapple check? How the... No... I won't argue. Hammer away, Prince!

Go, go elven boxing lessons!

Holding onto the very edge of control, the elven prince levels two more blows into the eyes of the croc, hoping against hope for luck to guide his fists...
[15+9-4(light wpn in grpl)=20. HIT! Dmg: 1d3+3=6! Subdual!

Ihdald's first punch in this series splooshes grossly into the creature's eye, covering the fist in gooey gelatin and causing the croc to not just hiss, but roar in pain. With a toss of its muscled neck, the primordial greenback flings the prince out of its toothy grip and begins to slide backward beneath the waves.

"I don't think so," mutters the warrior-prince, as he picks himself up onto one knee and notches an arrow. With studied calm he sights along the ashwood shaft, past the razor head, and directly into the cavity of the beast's ruined eye. In between the beats of his heart, he releases his hold on the taut string, and the arrow leaps out and buries itself into the brain of the monster.

With a great goosh of fluid and the faint smell of ozone, the creature convulses in the muck as its brain fries...and then it lies still.

Ihdald collapses from the pain and fear, sagging against the stone wall where he landed; just inside the sewer nexus he entered only seconds ago. It felt like hours.

The shadowy figure stared hard at Ihdald's weakened form and took a step forward. A gleam of steel betrayed his intentions in his right hand. At the sight of the movement, the prince's head snaps up and his level stare stops the assassin in his tracks.

"Soon, my little prince. You will NEVER return home. We will see to that."

A whirl of cloak, and the stalker is gone.

[Congratulations! You're in!]

.... Now that is how to ring in the new year. Downing a giant croc in grappling. I'm really starting to detest anyone who is a "shadowy figure in the distance" now though....

Cursing quietly and looking around once more for the strange person who led him here with his excellent elven eyes, Ihdald notes quietly to himself that he is alone once more, and begins leaving the sewer, to return to the hall of WAR and give his report. He gives a quick wrist flick and Confuzzled joins him, wrapping himself gently about the Prince's waist.

Yay! That was quite fun! And surprising! Could hardly expect to WIN when a croc has you in their mouth....
TheMagister

12-31-06, 08:32 PM
As he takes down the makeshift torch from the wall, a glint of metal catches his eye on the other side of the nexus, near the tunnel where his assailant fled like a coward.

Carefully and with great stealth, the prince makes his way across the turbulent waters to the comparatively dry tunnel outlet to investigate.

Behind a loose brick in the wall (an obvious hidey-hole) left ajar in haste, Ihdald finds a massive blue star-sapphire! The corner of the gem was left uncovered when the assassin retrieved his things, and was obviously left behind because of the rush. It seems the prince finds himself respected by whoever is stalking him.

Wait...the cover. With wonder and some revulsion, Ihdald picks up the bit of shimmery night that is the cloak that held the gem in its confines. A piwafwi, if the prince is not mistaken; a drow hunter's stealth cloak.

Drow! Here!?

The activity in the Marina that Gwar has been hearing of. This may have something to do with it, and rules out the involvement of the Celestials without a doubt. Perhaps the Habari Trade Company is in league with them?

Riddles on top of intrigues on top of mysteries. Gwar must hear of this at once...

Drow? Interesting... Yeah, I'll take Ihdald back into the RP of WAR as soon as he's updated. Heh, well, that gem certainitly explains the gp gain from this whole thing. Well well... I can certainitly see following this little story later on...

I have to apologize to you for using such a tired and worn out RP connection as the drow when you're playing an elven prince. I really didn't want to. YOU try coming up with a way to tie giant crocodiles together with political intrigues. It ain't easy. =)
