i read that the Prices for the Animal Allies like Hydra, Frost Wyrm etc. can be read in the MM or the SRD. But i cant find any prices in the SRD.

06-10-04, 01:31 PM Actually only certain animals (Pegasus, Spider Eater) Have prices associated with them. Other animals have to be aquired through alternative means.

I heard something about that if u fight vs. the animal and win u can have it for free? Or Do u know other means?

There are three ways to obtain allies:
1. Listed price in core books (horses, griffons, spider eaters, etc.)
2. Leadership feat
3. Handle Animal. If you have ranks in handle animal, you can defeat the animal and train it or its offspring to serve as your mount. Jindl made a list of handle animal allies, which is in the FAQ. If you have the required ranks in handle animal and can beat it in combat, it's yours.
