King Uther 06-15-05, 08:58 PM	Kaigan had always had a love-affair with fire. The flames seemed to cleanse the world, leaving nothing but charred remains. Regardless of station in life, every being had no choice bu to recognize the power of fire. Nothing in this world gave Kaigan more pleasure than to watch as the flames engulfed everything he wished it to, as if the fire itself had befriended him. Now, the inferno was his only friend. And he brought with him to Gladius... Upon his entrance into the large metropolis, he was greeted unexpectedly from a large man. This half-giant seemed both confident and other-worldly, and he stared right into Kaigan's soul. "Child of Fire, embrace the flame that gives you life and share it with the vile world that surrounds you. The flames chose you, and now you must choose them." The half-giant then began to walk past Kaigan, handing him a note with an address on it and a message. "The answers you seek lie here."
Kaigan 06-15-05, 09:16 PM	"Embrace it I shall." Kaigan whispers. He glances down at the note and reads the address. He memorizes the figures on the page. He begins to walk down the busy streets of Gladius towards his destination where the "answers that he seeks" can be found. Half grinning, half serious, he walks on. The note falls slowly to the ground, and is consumed by fire.
King Uther 06-15-05, 10:04 PM	As he apporached the place, he noticed it to be a magnificent, 5 story business building where thousands of gold must be exchanged each week. At the entrance he spied something curious, a nervous human. His eyes darted about, trying to notice something. Not sure what to do, Kaigan flips his lucky coin(something random I decided, a weird habit where you make a decision based off of randomness) and decided to walk up without any subterfuge. Taking notice of this obviously confident individual, the human looked scared and ran into the building, slammng the door. Yelling could be heard. A mind is a complicated thing. Something often hard to predict. But Kaigan's mind bends reality, where the logical assumptions the world bases everything off of have no say. Chaos rules his consciousness, and times it is a thing of utter beauty. And other times it is destructive and cruel without hesitation. Kaigan walked into the building, the fire in his soul rising. The human was pointing at an overgrown halfling, yelling at him to kill Kaigan. Kaigan's blood began to boil, and steam arose off of his skin. His entire life had been like this. His heightened emotional states often produced fiery results. With but a smile he began his advance... King Uther 06-16-05, 01:41 PM	The halfling, his short swords drawn, moves up menacingly to engage his new opponent. He moves swiftly and confidently, significantly faster than any halfling Kaigan had ever seen! He now stand poised to strike this feared man. He's about 20 feet away.
Kaigan 06-17-05, 10:03 AM	An amused smile appears on Kaigan's face. He lazily looks at the halfling, but does not like what he sees. A pang of anger flares from deep down inside, and a voice in his head tells him to light him on fire. Smiling grimly, he keeps control of his emotions, and starts weaving a protective barrier around him. But this is no ordinary barrier. "Come hit me little man, it will be your last." As he finishes his words blue flames start to encircle Kaigan, as he draws an alchemist fire. Draw alchemist's fire (move), manifest energy retort cold.
King Uther 06-17-05, 11:07 PM	Kaigan looks into the soul of his opponent, and with a quick movement draws a vial filled with flammeable liquid. He then manifests an aura of coldness, ready to fire back at all you intrude. Next round: The halfling warrior steps up, ready to kill. His mercenary eyes seem cold. (Attack: 19!+... Kaigan 06-18-05, 01:08 AM	Kaigan feels the blade slice through his skin, and a sensation of fire burns from within. He calmly embraces the burn, and turns his grim eyes upon the small fellow. "You will learn to embrace the flames, or you will be consumed by them." He steps back and throws the vial of fire in his hands, while taking out another vial of liquid fire. Move 5ft. Back, throw alchemist's fire, draw another one.

Kaigan 06-18-05, 11:43 PM	Kaigan grins smuggly. "And now you will be consumed. Feel the fire, feel it! Watch the beauty of the flames, the yellow, orange and red. Feel your skin, feel it peel, and feel your blood boil. Soon you will die, and soon you will be ash." Kaigan pulls out a shiny stone, and begins manifesting. A blast of cold fire shoot forth from his outstetched hand. Pull out fire stone 1 and manifest energy push cold.
King Uther 06-20-05, 11:50 AM	Kaigan finds his opponent's suffering amusing, and decides to push him further away mentally. A ray of cold energy shoots out. The halfling then decides to charge this enemy, who keeps burning him without fail. Kaigan 06-20-05, 08:48 PM	Kaigan again welcomes the burning felt from the wound. His eyes focus, and he moves away. In position, he readies to cast out his blue flame again attempting to push the halfling away. [Move 1 square to the north west, 1 square to the north, 1 square to the north east, 1 square to the east, so that he is directly south of me. Then ready another energy push cold, manifesting from stone.

Kaigan 06-21-05, 09:02 PM	Kaigan grins at the body, scarred by flame and cold. He pulls out his shortspear and drives the blade into the halflings heart. "Well fought. You have already felt the fire from the world, let us speed your journey to the flames of the next." After that, Kaigan bends over the body and searches for anything of value. He takes anything useful and saves the rest to take later. He then moves to the next room, but pauses at the door and listens for anyone.
King Uther 06-23-05, 09:14 AM	As Kaigan touches the burnt body, he finds two potions tucked away. Kaigan doesn't feel like taking the halfling's short sword pair, or his light armor, so he continues to the door. (Potion of CMW and Sanctuary) Kaigan then listens to see what he can hear down the stairs. A loud, windy sound is heard, like something spinning in the air. It got louder and louder, almost deafening at one point. Then....it stopped.
Kaigan 06-23-05, 08:53 PM	Kaigan wonders at the strange sound. However, now he doesn't want to be unprepared, so he buffs himself quietly. He downs the contents of the cure potion, then manifests inertial armor, vigor [5], and force screen from stone. Then, he pulls out his stone containing energy missle, and opens the door, readying his action to manifest a cold energy missle at any hostile victims.

Holding a powerstone in his hand, he notices in the distance a tall, built Maenad with a spiked chain. He begins to spin it, duplicating the whirling sound. "It is my job to ensure you do not pass. If you leave, you live. Death only waits you over here. Please let us make this a peaceful encounter."

It calls to burn, to be part of a great fire, and I will create that fire." Kaigan reaches into his pocket drawing another vial of liquid flame, then takes a small step back into the doorway, and manifests an energy missle fire from the stone. Draw alchemist's fire, take a five foot step into the door way, manifest energy missle fire. Just curious, I should have all my buffs now, but is my energy retort still active?

King Uther 06-25-05, 11:55 PM	Kaigan smiles, seeing the surprised look on the Maenad's face. Without hesitation Kaigan quickly launched another, this time a flaming inferno. (Damage: 24 (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=108884) ) Upon impact the Maenad's body burst into pieces, as his internal heat reached a critical temperature. His boiling blood lay across the floor. Another set of stairs set at the other end of the room...
Kaigan 06-26-05, 12:55 AM	Kaigan bends over the remains of the victim's body. He is careful not to touch the hot breastplate, and searches for some more useable items. He will pick up the others on the way out. He makes his way to the next set of stairs, and wanting to be ready for anything, stows both the alchemists fire and the fire stone, and draws his stone with vigor on it, and manifests it. Before entering the room, Kaigan listens for anything sounds of talking, hoping that there will be more than one victim.

Kaigan 06-30-05, 08:46 PM	Kaigan hears the voices, and smiles. He can smell the fear in the air, and it is just ripe enough to set aflame. He reaches into his pocket and manifests a ML 5 vigor from his stone. If energy retort is gone, remanifest it with cold again. Finally, get out my stone with my remaining ML 5 energy missle. Open the door, and ready my action to manifest energy missle fire at the two enemies. When I see them, if they are 15ft apart fire the missles at both of them, dealing 5d6 fire damage, then when initiative resets again, fire another from memory, 5d6 spending 5pp.
King Uther 06-30-05, 09:51 PM	Kaigan readied himself for combat, after first enhancing his physical ability. Upon opening the door, he saw the man from before, as well as one more bodyguard. He appeared to be alien of sorts, with antennae on his head. Kaigan launched two missiles made of flame, and they struck the two, both the human and insect. Kaigan 07-01-05, 12:07 AM	Kaigan smirks as the ashes of the two float into the air. Absently, he walks over to the two bodies, and just as he had done with the other two, he searches them. He takes everything of value, then collects his findings from the other two bodies, and piles them at the door. He then gathers the bodies into the main entrance room. "From birth you were given the flame of life. And now, I have given you the flame of death. From seed you were born, and as ash you return. Your life, and how you lived it is not a concern to me. The flame has called you. The flame has devoured your heart, your soul, your being." Kaigan bows his head offering a silent prayer to the bodies. Then he moves his new found treasure out the door, while whispering a short poem. "Heart on fire, heart aflame, return once more to where you came, Heart to ashes, ashes of heart, body, mind, flame apart. Heart of red, heart of black, remind us now of our pact, Heart alive, heart now dead, fire consume the heart of lead. Hasten now unto death, Into life within the hearth. Outside the building, Kaigan turns around, pulls out a vial of liquid flame, and chucks it at the building wall. Using his mind he gains control of the fire, and slowly watches the building catch on fire. He smiles as he sees the souls of those he just killed, join the flame, in its dance of red, of chaos, of destruction. Then Kaigan turns away, and begins walking down the road from which he came.
King Uther 07-05-05, 09:51 AM	Inside the pocket of the man who sent mercenaries after Kaigan laid a note, detailing something very mysterious: "The vessel for the Flame of Imzarro has arrived. Beware, for if he finds you death awaits. You must survive, as must he. For in this hour he will discover what he is, and begin to mold himself towards his destiny. -Origath" In addition, a stash of gold was hidden within the building. Kaigan gladly torches the building, feeling the flames build up and destroy everything. He watches it burn, feeling the calm ecstasy of the chaos created by the flames. Destiny had knocked on his door, and he torched it. The fire inside of him would only grow. This would be the beginning of everything...
