Gathering his materials Dronnar prepairs himslef to desend into the Tomb of La'Nastcoth. You've traveld long to reach this isolated place where the previous owner of the PsiBlade was saddly laid to rest with his broaken weapon.

La'Nastcoth was a minotar psiwarrior of old and he met his end against a paladin wielding an adamantium weapon. La'Nastcoth's great sword was sundered and himself slain and the two were laid to rest in a mound built over the spot of his death.

The local farmers fear this place and tell you that livestock that graze here at night are often found half eaten in the day.

You examine the mound and find a recent land slide has exposed a dark crack that appears to penetrate into the barrow...

Dronnar draws his Falchion, carrying it in one hand, and in the other he keeps a powerstone of Vigor.

He listens carefully for a while, trying yo figure out what kind of creature makes this loathsome hole a home, and then slowly starts to enter the tomb. A few feet ahead, he realizes is too dark to continue.

"Hmm... maybe I should go back to the village try to get some torches. If I don't get them, I think I'll wait for this thing come out to feed to attack."

Dronnar exits the tomb, going to the nearby village.
SauroGrenom

03-17-06, 11:32 AM
Because the village is some day's walk a way, Dronnar instead walks to one of the nearbye farms and asks the man who happly tends his fields if he can sell torches. The kindly man listens to your story of the crack in the barrow, and he tells you that if you're going in to the barrow, you must be a very brave man. He also says that tonight he will take his family away and return in the morning and with the aid of a mason friend to brick the gap closed.

With his kindeness he prepairs torches from materials he has available on the farm, and gives them to you for free (10 of them). Then he gathers his family and leaves the farm, saying as he leaves, "The best of luck in there... You'll realy need it if you're going in the barrow...
DSugui

03-17-06, 11:49 AM
Dronnar reflects about the farmer's remark. "No ordinary creature would make a man and his family leave their home and travel at night. This is no ordinary opponent. It is wiser wait the thing come out than face it in its own lair..."

With that in mind, he sets up the torches in key points, as to have the more area illuminated as possible. Then he will chose a spot where he can observe the entrance of the tomb, but that is difficult to someone leaving the tomb to spot. Finally, he will draw the bow and wait to the creature come...

Alright so for a setup, if you want a map I'm going to draw one. It is a verysimple map, so you can easily do the same as I and get a copy for yourself. Our map is a large flat plain that has a 40'x40' mound in the middle roughly about 20' high with slopping sides and a rounded top. Moving up the slope is difficult terrain, and you cannot charge up the hill.

As the sun dips below the horizon and twilight spreads across the plain, Dronnar places his torches around the crack and along the intervening ground. The torches flicker in the soft breeze of the comming night as Dronnar takes up a position 100 feet from the pitch black scarr in the hillside. Carefully watching the blackness, Dronnar keeps a vigile as the stars begin to twinkle in the night sky. A half moon illuminates the area with a soft white glow and your keen sight catches the appearance of a meaty hand gripping the edge of the crack.

In a moment a desicated head appears, and you can planely see that this is the corpse of a long dead minotaur. Only the black horns glint in the moon light, all of the remaining face is a dull color of dried flesh that hangs from the face. It struggles and squeeses to move its large corpse through the smaller crack, and you know now is your chance to strike at the creature.

I'll give you a supprise round, and automaticially give you initiative. This is a large creature squeezing throught the crack and a notoriously slow creature. Keep in mind that it can charge even though it only gets a standard action each round.
DSugui

Dronnar concentrates, focusing his inner sight to know the weak points in the enemy defenses. Then he fires an arrow at the creature and move away to keep distance.

Surprise round: manifests Offensive Prescience.
Round 1: shoot and move back
SauroGrenom

03-17-06, 03:28 PM
Dronnar focuses his mind and visualizes his arrows flying true. Then snaps his eyes open and lets the arrow fly. With prefect fluidity, you arrow pierces the air and then the body (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=389609) of the zombie. Dronnar falls back as the creature looks at him. Then with a forlorn moan that unsettles your stomach and a cascade of small rocks and dirt, the zombie pulls the last of it's bulk from the crevase and charges forth, but its decayed knees shudder and make popping sounds as it lumbers slowly after you.

Dronnar falls back 20' and the zombie uses 10' of movement to free itself from the crevase and then advances an additional 20'. You are now at 100' distance.
DSugui

03-17-06, 09:56 PM
For the next few rounds Dronnar will follow this tactics:

Round 2: Fire an arrow
Round 3: Run away from the monster (60')

Repeat. Doing that he will keep a distance between 70' to 100' from the beast.

He will do this until he has fired 16 arrows.
SauroGrenom

03-18-06, 01:46 PM
With fierce resolve Dronnar releases a continuing hail or arrow after arrow. For over a full minute, Dronnar fires his bow and withdraws again, and fire and withdraws and occasionally fully runs away to gain distance and return to firing his arrows. Catching his breath Dronnar reviews his progress. The creature is a pincussion of arrows protruding (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=390273) from every part of its body, but it continues its mindless and relentless charging after you.

The one critical doesn't (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=390275) confirm. Considering the first bow attack in the last post would cause 2 hp, the current total damage so far is 16hp and you have shot 16/46 arrows and have 30 left. Do you want to fire 30 more?
DSugui

03-18-06, 02:13 PM
Fire 15 more arrows. I don't want to spend all of them now, I might need them later.

And don't bother rolling crit confirm, undeads don't take crit damage ;)
SauroGrenom

03-18-06, 02:46 PM
Seeing that a few of his arrows are damaging his foe, Dronnar steel's his resolve and continues to fire more arrows. One after the other as seconds fly bye Dronnar let's arrows loose (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=390298) and withdraws again and again. But still the abomination lumbers onward charging after Dronnar with mindless resolve to tear him timb from limb.

It's working! Those attacks caused 26hp damage for a total of 42 so far. BTW 15 arrows have missed so far and may be recoverable.
DSugui

03-18-06, 03:02 PM
Ok, Offensive Prescience must be off by now. Time to go melee

Dronnar decides it's a good time to do what he does best. He stows the bow and draws the dorje of Biofeedback and the Falchion. Then he will:
1) Manifest Force Screen
2) Use the dorje and stow it
3) charge at the zombie, expending his focus to use Psionic Weapon.

If the charge misses, he will withdraw to do more buffing.
SauroGrenom

03-18-06, 03:24 PM
Dronnar judges that his mindless opponent is sufficeintly soffened up by his ranged onslaught, so he stows his bow and readies himself to charge the creature with his falchion. Patheticially the corpse of La'Nastcoth follows moaning a mournfull frustration in it's ineffect.

After preparing with a couple manifestations, Dronnar is ready and he charges the creature swinging with his falchion and slashing (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=390342) into old and dried flesh. The creature bellows in triumph and brings it's fist down but the arm has been pierced by too many arrows and a dozen shafts snap with a crackle as the appendage comes down missing (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=390347) Dronnar completely.

A withdraw action will not get you out of here without taking an AoO. This is a large creature, so you will provoke if you decide to withdraw.
DSugui

03-18-06, 03:46 PM
Since the charge hit, just keep attacking. If Dronnar drops below 14 hp, he'll withdraw
SauroGrenom

03-18-06, 04:16 PM
Dronnar calmly brings his blade around again and slashes (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=390369) the creature's torso deeply.

Un phased, the creature continues its attempts to smash Dronnar with a two fisted overhead bash, but Dronnar's quickness allows him to twist and his psionic shield deflects (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=390371) the blow.

With grace and inner calm, Dronnar spins bringing his falcion to bare again. The weapon slashes air and meets flesh (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=390372). The final blow lands near the creatures neck and cleaves it entirely through. Dried muscle rips and brittle bone shatters as the blade passes through the entire torso and is released near the hip. The creature falls before you, cloven in twain it finally lies still.

As Dronnar examines the corpse, he is astounded to find his goal lying here, strapped to the upper half of the body. Encased in a marvelous sheath are the broaken shards of the PsiBlade. The two halves shine as the moon light reflects off the facets of the crystal blade. It is a marvelous piece of craftsmanship though now broaken. But you knew to expect this for the legends told of how PsiBlade was sundered. Now is time to treck and meet Hakarin the Dwarf. If any have the skill to reforge the blade it is Hakarin, and he swore an oath to try.

Dronnar can recover 8 of his arrows.
DSugui

03-18-06, 04:35 PM
Dronnar takes the broken weapon and cleans the sheath the best he can. Then he pick up the arrows that are still usable, putting them back in the quiver.

He wonders how he'll find Hakarin, and starts going to the dwarf's last known location.

Don't know if Dronnar can regain psionic focus on the way, but if he can, he'll do that.
SauroGrenom

03-21-06, 03:11 PM
Alright, you get to travel to the location of the next encounter. You can easily regain psionic focus. Although for the purpose of game mechanics you do not get to recover pp or hp, for RP purposes we'll be trecking for a few days to reach Hakarin's forge. To overcome this, we'll just mention a battle with orc raiders earlier in the day. Presumably you overcame those orcs with a small expenditure of PP and your combat prowess.
Crossing the broad planes of Naestegia has been slow, but mostly uneventfull treck. The tall grasses that line the roads provide ample hiding for the orcish marauders who ambush those who travel the highways south of Galdius. But Dronnar's hight is so great that he can see over these grasses and was not supprised when a small troup of orcs sprung from the grasses this morning. A few slashes of his Falchion, and the remaining cowards thought his valuable armor was not worth there lives. The sight of the howling orcs scrambling into the grasses was humorous to this giant and put a spring in his step that persists till the afternoon.

As the sun reaches its highest point, Dronnar pies the final hill before Hakarin's forge, and from the top a curl of smoke rises as from a campfire set there. The increasing heat and heavy weight of your armor would have exausted lesser warriors, but your giant blood acclimates you to heat and prepares you to carry heavy loads, so the treck is pleasant if slow. Nearing the top you are supprised to find Hakarin is camped here above his own forge below. You can see the squat stone structure does not have the usual plume of smoke rising from the forge, and by the appearance of his campsite Hakarin has been here for days.

Spotting you comming up the road Hakarin leaps to his feat and trots up shouting and waving his deep crystal warhammer,"Hulio Dronnar! Ach! Mordane be praised! Me Forge been o'run by FOLUGUB! Damn 'eatures eat'in all me 'rystal!" He spits... and waves his masterpiece hammer that he named after his own father. "I'd slay'm m'self 'ept they'd eat Lokarin here. Dronnar, you got to 'elp me. Go an clear me forge of these FOLUGUB!"
DSugui

03-22-06, 08:18 AM
"Folugub? What are... you mean, that big bugs over there? Ok, it won't be a problem.

Dronnar goes in the forge's direction, preparing for battle, but trying not to call attention from the monsters. He draws the dorje of Biofeedback and one powerstone of Offensive Precognition.

Dronnar will manifest biofeedback, then off. precognition once he is about 80ft from the fologubs (or when they start coming after Dronnar). He'll draw the Falchion and charge one of the monsters, expending the focus for Psionic Weapon.

Exactly how many fologubs are there, and a map would be nice. :D
SauroGrenom

03-22-06, 05:29 PM
I hate making maps with dungeon crafter and posting them on photobucket. For some reason photobucket messes with me all the time and my maps look like crap on the web while they look good on my computer. We'll just use this map. You'll be comming from the left side along the road. I'll number things 1, 2, 3, ... from the top left down and A, B, C,... from the top left to the right. I'm at work now, but I'll make a more detailed post later tonight. Only one of them is visible right now outside.

'arefull son. They'll eat 'rystal anything. Powerstone, Dorje, everything. Don't let 'm touch yea. I seen two 'o em.
DSugui

03-22-06, 07:38 PM
Hmmm... That gave an idea. What if I throw the used powerstone at the fologub? Will it stop to eat? Since I didn't attack yet, will it see me as a threat?

I think it's worth trying. Dronnar will throw the used powerstone at the fologub.
SauroGrenom

03-23-06, 12:21 AM
Dronnar prepares himself mentally by pausing in his treck down the hill to focus his mind inward and balance himself controlling his bodies activites and gaining toughness. Then as he approaches the visible Folugub, he draws and uses his powerstone and his mind is filled with visions of his blows landing and striking hard.

With a flick of his wrist, he sends the spend crystal sailing throught the air landing some 10' behind the Folugub. The creature whirls its antenni and turns its back to you as it pounces on the small lump of crystal.

Seeing your opening you charge forward and attacks the creature. The blow lands (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394603) and the creatures carapice snaps with a loud Crack! Meraculiously it survives and whirls about bitting (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394604) at your leggs. Its mouth claws clamp down on your leggings, but are unable to penetrate.

Then a second creature comes charging from the open door of the forge and attacks you as well. The force of the charge is sufficient to drive (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394605) one of its chittinous jaws through the steel of your armor. The wound stings, but is not serious (5hp).
DSugui

03-23-06, 07:46 AM
If it's possible to avoid AoO by 5ft step, Dronnar will do that and manifest Force Screen. If not, just attack the already wounded folugub.
SauroGrenom

03-23-06, 02:50 PM
Dronnar steps back and manifests force screen. The two beatle like creatures follow and bite (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394899) at him, but are unable to penetrate the force screen.

Dronnar then replies (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394902) with two swift blows that easily kill the first Folugub and wound the second. The remaining Folugub bites (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394903) feebly before the blow lands, and again aftarward (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394904). Dronnar whirles his blade cutting (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394906) into the creature again. The creature misses (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394904) and so does (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394906) Dronnar. The creature attempts to bite again but misses (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394911). Dronnar's blade strikes a glancing blow (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394913).

Then the tall giant and the heavely armored vermin circle eachother and exchange (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394917) glancing attacks. THis continues for another moment (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394919) before Dronnar's blade bites (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394920) into flesh. The blow strikes deep (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=394923) and with a twist you pop the carapice of the beatle open and it lies still.

From the top of the hill you see a dwarven form jumping up and down and waving a hammer in the air as Hakarin runs down the slope. "HaHaHa! It twas Great! The way yea popped that on 'open. Yea saved me forge... Dronnar how can I thank yea?"
DSugui

03-23-06, 10:30 PM
"I came looking for you for one reason, master Hakarin."

Dronnar take the sheath of the Psiblade and show the shards to the dwarf.

"These are the remnants of the Psiblade. I heard only you have the skills and technique necessary to repair it. If it is not much trouble, I would be very grateful if you could put this sword in one piece again."
SauroGrenom

03-23-06, 11:45 PM
Ahh she's a splendid blade yea got here... Good clean break on 'er too. Master's work of deep crystal... I can make her whole again, but the magic's drained from her... The Forge'll be fired up in three 'ours an it'll be four days o hammering to mend this crack.
DSugui

03-24-06, 07:31 AM
"Is there anything I can do to help?"

In the log is noted that Dronnar used 2 pp in week 2, but he used only 1 (for Force Screen)
SauroGrenom

03-26-06, 10:10 PM
"Son rest yerself, this is my work..

After three days of hammering and a full day of sharpening and polishing, Hakarin presents you with the fully restored plade. It is truly the work of a master for the blade is weighted prefectly and the edge is sharper than any you have ever before seen.

"Three days to the south a group of monks have built over the fount of Fletrada. Legend's say If a weapon of crystal deep is quenched in the waters cold; a blessing it will keep like the spears crafted of old. Take this blade and quench it in those waters to restore some of its magic. The monks are suspicious of travelers and they keep a guardian that protects the fount. Some kind of strange dog angel it was when I last seen it. "

We can get started on next weeks encounter if you wish. That way we can hopefully finish the whole thing up early after parrings and give you plenty of time to edit your sheet.
DSugui

03-26-06, 10:38 PM
"Thank you, master Hakarin. May the gods bless your way."

With a bow, Dronnar leaves. He goes south, following Hakarin instructions, trying to figure out how he would convince the monks to let him quench the sword in the fount.

Great, let's keep it moving...
SauroGrenom

03-27-06, 10:26 PM
Two days of tireless walking (a Half Giant's legs are much longer than a dwarfs) brings you to the foot hills where Hakarin tells that these monks make there home. A helpfull farmer gives you directions to the Fount of Fletrada. You can tell from the man's demeanor that this place and the monks that live there are reviered by the local farmers. He tells of how the waters of the fount administered by a monk healed his mother's blindness.

As you approach the monestary you are distinctly unimpressed. The squat building is barely one story tall built of local uncut stones piled into walls and mortared together. Beside the structure stands a wooden scaffold that is home to a small copper bell going green with age. A mud path leads to the front of the building where a rough hewn oaken door is the only entrance to the building on this side. On your approach you can see a half dozen humans of various ages all dressed in drab brown wollen robes who attend to a small rocky garden and pen full of fat and healthy sheep. They are buisy with their chores as you approach and none come to speak with you even as you come to the very entrance to the monestary.
DSugui

03-27-06, 11:24 PM
Dronnar approaches one of the monks.

"Greetings, friend. Is it here where lies the Fount of Fletrada?"
SauroGrenom

03-27-06, 11:47 PM
Yes...The bell rings at sundown. After prayers offerings are taken and petitions are heard.

The man returns to his weeding of the garden and he does not respond to any further attempts at conversation. You get the idea that life here is very regimented, and that a certian protocol must be followed at all times. Apparently nobody will talk to you untill sundown.
DSugui

03-27-06, 11:54 PM
Dronnar sits an a rock nearby and rests. He appreciates the silence and tranquillity, and uses the time until sundown to meditate.

The monks toil all day. As the sky begins to turn red, an old monk shuffles from the monestary and rings the humble bell.

All the monks set there labors aside and file into the oaken door. Chants and prayers are heard for precisely 20 minutes then a puff of smoke begins to rise from the stubby chimney and the door is opened again. A young monk comes forth bowing to say, Your petition will be heard.

Following him into the monestary, you find the interior is even more humble than the exterior. The unfinished walls enclose a stone floor with wooden benches set near a bubbling pool. The ceiling is not tall enough for you to stand fully, and you can see a row of straw mats along the east wall where the monks must sleep.

"Thank you for your time, Brothers. I don't want to bother you for too long, so I will go direct to the point. I heard that if a crystal weapon is quenched in the Fount of Fletrada, it will gain some magical properties. I am trying to restore the power to this Psiblade, and I would be very grateful if you granted me access to the fount."

Dronnars bows respectfully, and waits the monk's answer.

Use this map
Speaking as a whole unit with each word being said by a different monk, but in perfect timing you are told. Defeat the guardian with fare contest and earn the right to receive Fletrad's Blessing.

The oldest monk slaps his hand on the side of the well and everyone begins to chant... A thick mist begins to boil from the well and fill the chamber. You know something is about to happen... (You can take a turn to buff with somehting if you want.) Then a few seconds later you can discern a form in the mists. A human with a dog's head and a greatsword forms and holds up its hand and some kind of magical effect takes place. Locking eyes you know the contest is to begin.

The dog-man pounces. (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=400424)

You lost initiative this time. Let me know what you'll do with your buffing round and then I'll get it started.

Only one round to buff? man, you're mean...

Ok, in the buff round Dronnar will Manifest Force Screen and a Powerstone of Vigor.

First round: use the Powerstone and draw the Flachion. 5ft step away from the dog man.

You think I'm being mean? Bah, go look at Mer-Man's quest "Other fish in the sea."

Dronnar uses his inate powers to erect a screen of protective force around himself and then draws forth a subtly glowing crystal.

The Dog Man charges forth from the fog and attacks (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=400972) Dronnar cutting a gash through his armor and into his chest. (13hp)

Dronnar steps back and uses his stone to restore most of the lost HP.

The dog man presses his attack and misses (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=400974).

Dronnar feels a aura of menace surround him as the creatre aproaches he attempts to resist and cannot (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=400977). He feels slightly intimidated by this creature.

This is gonna be really hard... Let's see what I can do. I will give you Dronnar's next steps to speed up the fight.

- 5ft step back, draw and use dorje of Biofeedback;
- 5ft step back, stow dorje, manifest Offensive Prescience;
- start attacking;
- when I hit him the first time, 5ft step back, manifest Expansion augmented for duration of 10min/level;
- keep attacking;
- If he hits me; 5ft step back, draw and use powerstone of Vigor.

If at any moment I cannot 5ft step back, or if anything unexpected happens, please let me know so I can assess the situation.

Dronnar steps back and puts some distance between himself and this attacker. He pulls a short rod of crystal from his pack and uses it.

The thin dog lips snarl and the creature attacks missing (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402284) with a blow that is deflected by your armor.

Dronnar steps back again and stows his crystal then concentrates to manifest a power.

Then the dog man presses his attack swinging his plade with grace and power. His sword is deflected (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402285) again by your sturdy armor.

Now Dronnar is prepared, and he draws his Falchion that has never failed him before and he attacks dog man. The slashing blade deflects (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402287) off the thick hide of the creature.

The guardian presses his attack and growls as you begin to exchange blows. His sword whistles in the air and misses (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402289) entirely and Dronnar defly side steps the attack.

He takes the opening and attacks with his own blade, missing (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402290) as the guardian unexpectedy continues his missed attack and steps to the side.

Wielding its greatsword the creature misses (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402291) and Dronnar fumbles (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402292).

I'll do a few more round later.

Surrounded by chanting monks, the two great warrior continue to exchange blows. The low voices of the monks is punctuated by sounds of blades cutting air and clashing against steel.

Blades flash in the air and Dronnar (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402827) draws blood with a good hit causing 14hp (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402838) damage.

At the sight of its bright read blood the creature is not nearly as intimidating. Dronnar steps back and prepares for the creature to press its attack.

To his supprise the dog man begins to chant in time with the monks, and a holy light infuses him for a moment. (used a spell like ability) Then he steps forward and threatins Dronnar again.

Dronnar falls back and manifests Expansion growing to double his size!

The Archon presses his attack and hits (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402842) dronnar causing 9hp (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402844) damage. (actually7)

Dronnar falls back and draws a stone from his pouch. The stone glows with an inner light as Dronnar manifests a power that restors his lost HP. (Now at 26hp).

The Archon continues to persue Dronnar the both strike heavy blows (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402845) and cut deep (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402847) (12hp damage to Dronnar, 17 damage to Archon)

Alright Archon is down 22 hp total, Dronnar is down 15 total. I figured that you may want to reconsider what to do at this point. So I'll stop unitll you post. The expansion caused a decrease in your AC that is hurting you.

It seems you are forgetting the +2 damage from Offensive Prescience. Dronnar damage should be 3d6+10 expanded, 2d6+9 normal. Besides, I don't know if I calculated wrong, but it seems Dronnar has 14 hp, and the archon 27 hp.

At this point, any course of action is kind of risky. I could buff my AC, but it would take 2 rounds to get +2 AC. If I dismiss Expansion, I get +2 AC, but -1d6 damage, and the fight would last longer.

So, for the next 2 rounds:
- 5ft. step back, draw and use Powerstone of Vigor;
- Attack

He can finish me off with 2 hits, but so can I. I guess, everything depends on luck now.

Summary:

Guardian: -26hp/?? Unknown magical effect
Dronnar 14/29hp Force Screen, Offensive Precognition, Expansion

The guardian presses his attack but misses (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402963).

Dronnar takes the opportunity to step back and draws another stone from his belt pouch. Manifesting a power from the stone he feels a renewed vigor. (+10 Temp HP)

The guardian attempts to cleave Dronnar and his blade is barely (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402969) deflected by Dronnar's force screen.

Dronnar uses the opportunity to attack the guardian [http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402972]hitting[/url] with a devastating (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402973) strike. The guardian is cleft (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=402975) entirely in half by the blow. In a flash of light the guardian is gone and the monks chanting ends.

The oldest monk hobbles up to you and speaks in soft tones. "Submerg you blade in the water there... You have won Fletrada's Blessing."

No one speaks or makes any sounds as you dip your blade into the bubbling fountain. No outward sign indicates that anything magical has taken place, but you here the blade begin to hum with a sound you can here not with your ears. Its hum rings in you mind and with a practice swing the mental hum takes on a musical quality as it hits a note.

"Thank you, Brothers. May the gods bless your way."

Dronnar take his new weapon and, with renewed confidance, starts his way back to Gladius.

I knew it! Somehow I sensed that crit coming :D
It seems job's done here. Let's go back to the Consortium.

The treck home is long, but your spirits are lifted by the travels. You return home and unexpectedly find that many of the guild's members have also traveled on various quests of there own, but there is a new goblin who has joined the consortium's ranks and Samuel haunts the halls.

I put rewards into the 1st post.
