Background/Personality:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/fp_gallery/fp1/Kelemvor_p34.jpg

Anixx was born into this world a being of mixed heritage. His mother was an Elven noble in the city of Cormathyr, and his father an archmage from Amn. Growing up in the Elven court, Anixx remembers the love and laughter that permeated the very soil about him. The great magical Mythal, the shield and protection of Cormanthyr, kept hostile and evil forces at bay.

When Anixx was about ten years of age, something terrible happened. A portal was opened to the lower planes and demons invaded Cormathyr. His father, upon hearing the news, rushed to join the other mages and warriors in defense of the city. His mother took Anixx with her as she ran to find safety in the great hall of Cormanthyr. Upon reaching what was once the great hallway and meeting place of the Elven court, both Anixx and his mother made an unpleasant discovery. A rift had been opened directly in front of the ancient hall, a rift inside the protective wards of the Mythal. From the hole in space and time an evil being of the lower hells, attempted to push through the fabric of the planes. With a terrific effort the demon managed to break into the material plane, and with dire consequences. The failing magics of the Mythal could not survive the extra strain. The weave of the Goddess Mystra was stretched too thin over the Elven court. It snapped, splintered into fragmented shards of stray power and force. The rift was sealed, but the terrible outburst of magic left its own marks. The most powerful of the wizards suddenly found that their spells did not function. The fiends that had managed to cross the barrier between the planes prior to the breaking of the weave murdered them one by one with brutal efficiency. The war wizards of Cormanthyr fell, and with them the heritage that was the spirit of unity between the races of Faerun. The last thing that Anixx remembed was a picture of his father falling from the skies as his spell of flight was cut short, a demon diving after him.

Anixx was consumed in the blast, but the wild magics of the Mythal left him changed. In place of the young boy there stood a raw representation of the magics of the weave and the chaos of war. Taking up a fallen warrior’s longsword, Anixx went in search of his father. Finding him amongst several splintered trees, Anixx went to him only to be set upon by his father’s attacker. With deadly precision, Anixx stabbed at the flying demon and with a cry unleashed some of the magic that was pent up inside of him. When the sword connected with the leathery hide of the demon, white flames raced along its length and consumed the fiend. The demon was no more, but his father also lay beside a shattered tree, limp in death.

When the magics within Anixx had faded and night fell, he stayed at his father’s side. He was without feeling, without compassion, without hope. Taking his father's body, he moved back into the blasted and ravaged city of Cormathyr in search of his mother. After searching for a time he found her body amongst the ruins of what was once a soaring tower. Letting the limp body of his father rest on the blasted rubble of what had once been a center of learning and beauty, a single tear dropped from eyes, eyes that were forever changed, for in those young orbs burned the flames of rage and vengeance. Taking his father’s sword from the ground Anixx made a vow, that when he had gained enough power, he would confront the demons, and rid Cormanthyr of their evil presence.

Two years later, Anixx finds himself in the city of Gladius…

Anixx fought in the arena and was extremely succesful. The crowd loved the mysterious half-elf in the full plate that could stop a charging orc in its tracks and duel hand to hand with the best of them. Anixx's bloody sword soon gave him renown and it was whispered that it was enchanted. Anixx's relic of his past, the greatsword known as Famine's Fang bore no enchantment when he entered the city of Gladius, but as time went by and battle after battle covered the old sword in blood, as the great magics of the city flowed through it, the sword became more than merely a piece of well-wrought metal. It glowed with a soft inner light and seemed sharp enough to penetrate metal and stone. Anixx's blows seemed to pass right through armor and raised steel as if they wern't there at all. Though he was fast becoming famous throughout the city, he was only seen in the arena, and even then he only stayed long enough after every victorious battle to wipe his sword clean with a silken cloth, cloths that soon became treasured collector's items. Anixx didn't speak, didn't acknowledge the presence of a single other being when he exited the arena, and whenever he made it through the gates he simply vanished...

"Where does he vanish too?" The people would ask, "Why does he not stay and bask in his glory" Anixx would not talk, not interact, when he left the arena he came into contact with a member of the enlightened ones and was silently conveyed to his dwelling beneath the grounds owned by the E.H.T.C. Though he did not completely agree with their petty ideals about good and evil, Anixx found alliance with the enlightened ones had benefits that outweighed the drawbacks and soon became a full and respected member of the community. He was appointed his own quarters and assigned a servant to look after his few needs; a bath, a towel, a candle, and a small plate of food each night. The servant was dismissed and Anixx prayed to the heavens for the strength to avenge his family and rid himself of the oceans of turmoil that pervaded his soul.

The time came. Anixx rose from his solitude to face his dark past at last. What greeted him was the shadows of what had been and the spectres of what could be. Anixx roamed the haunted ruins of his old home, saw the toppled towers and found that his destiny had indeed been set before him by the Gods. For in the monument of his shattered childhood, Anixx fought off the very man who had been instrumental in the fall of the city; his uncle. Anixx cleaved his way through his own hate and fear to find that in the end, death would come to all. He found that he, the Warbringer, rode the East wind of death, and that he embraced his doom and salvation equally as its Avatar.

[Introduction]

Legends tell of a great war that happened many years ago, in a land that was once pristine with fruitful trees and plants and fauna. That great war was between the people of that land against an invading force of gith. While the men and women of the countryside survived - the land was cursed with disease from the many dead and soon - many more were lost. Eventually, the land was deserted - labelled as cursed - and left alone.

Anixx has felt a calling to this land - though for reasons unknown to him - perhaps because of a past life or a calling into a memory of an ancestor. Regardless, the land calls to him and he seeks it out. Utilizing some contacts in the ways of divining (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=7718661&postcount=33), he was able to learn enough to know that he needed to go there. Knowing now the general location of the battle-site, he sets out - on uncertain ground - heading towards an army he wishes to command.

The road to the battlefield is little used and passes through a small forest before hitting a small town. Beyond the town however, is the desolation - and that's where he heads.

You are at the brink of the forest on a rarely-used and never-repaired cart path that leads to the small town of Okham. Okham is the last point of most people travel to because it stands on the edge of the "cursed" lands. Inside these lands is the battlefield that Anixx is looking for.

Anixx feels the call of this land, the spirits are here, his destiny awaits. Famine's fang glows fitfully in his hands as it lights his way in the morning dawn. The sword responds to the magical energies that exist throughout every inch of this "cursed land". Dust shifts from beneath his bones. A crack heralds his forceful entry through the skull of some dead forest rodent. It is an omen of things to come. Anixx continues his journey along the plant-choked path. The ancient battlefield lies ahead and it is there that the call originates.

Anixx's journey through the forest is a long one and it passes far slower than he would've wished.

Instead, he is ever vigilant of the sounds around him - not willing to allow something to sneak up on him - and not willing to allow himself to fail in his quest.

Near dusk, Anixx knows that he is near the edge of the forest and is pushing on to reach Okham - but as he does, he hears (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=194924) something moving behind him. And it sounds loud. And it sounds like it is moving quickly.

It is probably 100ft away, but it is making a lot of noise - and it seems to be plowing its own path...

Anixx flies away into the air. Sheathing his sword, he calls upon his inner strength to grant him insight and skill. Carefully loading a crossbow bolt into his weapon, he lets fly at his attacker. [Anixx will use a double move withdraw action to move up and away from his land-bound attacker. He will then cast divine favor and proceed to use his 19 crossbow bolts. If the dinosaur dies then all well and good. If not, Anixx will heal himself and then dive-charge the enemy with Famine's Fang. Rolls have been made and are detailed below.]

Just noticed an error on your character sheet - you can't have 2 fly spells memorized. Let me know what you want your other 3rd level spell to be.

With access to two domain spells at a given spell level, a cleric prepares one or the other each day in his domain spell slot. If a domain spell is not on the cleric spell list, a cleric can prepare it only in his domain spell slot.

Anixx withdraws from the huge creature, moving up and away. Movement while flying is 40ft; half that when ascending - so 20ft per move - you move 5ft away from where you were and then ascend a total of 40ft.

The dinosaur watches as its prey leaves the ground and reacts quickly, running and leaping (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=300603) after Anixx. It tries to latch onto him with its immense bite (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=300612), and manages to tear away some of the flesh on Anixx's leg. [11 damage]

Anixx then ascends completely out of its reach. He casts a spell to make his aim more deadly, and then starts firing at it. After a few successful hits and an apparent prey that it can't reach, the dinosaur flees to live another day. It can easily outrun you - but if you want to pursue it - you are more than welcome

Anixx 22/48 (used Fly, Divine Favor and 10 bolts)

 I can't find it anywhere, but I copied the heading i posted earlier from the rolls i made. The site looks different, maybe they got erased when they changed the site?

Anixx allows the beast to flee. Drawing his wand, Anixx mutters the command word pointing at his ravaged side. The bleeding slows to sluggish flow. Anixx narrows his eyes and speaks the word more fiercely, jabbing his wand along the cut. Once more the wound shrinks. Three more times Anixx wills his wand to life until finally it closes all together. Anixx examines his work with a practiced eye. The wound will probably leave a nasty scar, but it will not affect his mobility, nor would he suffer any long-term effects. Flexing his side, he feels normal.

Anixx stows the wand and draws his sword. Willing its energies to come to life, Anixx holds his weapon as he travels as fast as his fading flight spell will allow. He still has distance left to cover, and he doesn't fancy being ambushed by lurking dinosaurs. Famine's Fang crackles with energy almost merrily as Anixx forges on towards his destination.

Oops...:embarrass replace Anixx's fly spell with SMIII please.

Anixx feels his spell falter and starts to head towards the ground. About five feet from the dirt, it gives out completely and the heavily armored Anixx drops like a stone. Collecting himself, he steadies his fall and lands safely and on his feet. Raising Famine's Fang in a crouch, he looks warily about at the trees and bushes. They offer no threat, but still... Anixx continues alertly up the path. Megaraptors usually travelled in packs after all... It was not long before a rise in the road allowed him to see the town of Okham. Sheathing his weapon, Anixx hurries towards the inviting wooden palisade and relative safety of the town. At least on the battlefield there will be no trees for my enemy to hide behind.

It is well dark by the time Anixx reaches the hamlet of Okham - the darkness doing well to disguise the size of the place - but given the number of torchlights seen - he guesses the hamlet is no more than 20 families large.

Set out against the darkness, a flame burns openly in a parapet above a church in the heart of the area - lighting up the symbol of Heironeous.

Marching in on his own, he draws instant attention - and several of the townspeople head off towards the church.

Anixx hurries his stride. Even though the clerics of Heironeous have no reason to cause him harm, he'd rather reach his goal without further contact. A clerical follower could also prove cumbersome if they wished him watched...

Anixx hurries his way through the small town, advancing steadily towards the short fence that marks off the cursed lands. He is just about to reach it when a powerful voice beckons him from behind.

Halt stranger! What dark business have you with the cursed lands? I sense evil in your heart - and for that I cannot allow you to continue without good reason or purpose.

Turning, Anixx sees the man is clad in full plate and mounted on a horse he had not previously seen - but that seems to be very strong for its breed. Several of the townspeople are beyond him, intent on watching what their guardian does.

Anixx halts. Without turning, he speaks. "I have come to the cursed lands to find the answers I seek. Ask your God cleric, you will find to taint of evil on my soul. I seek answers, I seek knowledge, I would know what lies here, what was, the reason these lands call to me like a beacon to a storm-wracked ship upon the sea. You cannot know what I have seen, what I have remembered, what I have become. I seek no conflict, but if I must defend myself, know that I will do so most ably."

[Anixx readies to cast blindness if the Cleric threatens him with violence.]

If these lands are the ones calling you - then it is indeed an evil thing for which you seek. Heironeous has charged me with the protection of this land - and that includes forbidding others from heading into those lands yonder.

He hefts his ornate lance into a ready position.

If you take one more step, I will be forced to stop you.

Anixx draws Famine's Fang, turns suddenly, and blasts the cleric with divine power. "You were warned faithful, yet you persist in this sad resistance. Your continued existance here serves no purpose. Fell the wrath of the East Wind of Death!" Famine's Fang flares to life with hungry zeal. Combat is imminent.

Anixx cast blindness and draws his greatsword taking a step to the mounted man's left after his spell (hopefully) takes effect.

A curse on my eyes eh? Well, let's see what can be done about that... Ganemede - trample!

The horse spurs at his master's command towards Anixx. You have an AoO either against the horse or against the rider - which would you like?

The horse attempts to plow (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=302444) through Anixx, but Anixx - in a feat of strength - repels the large horse.

Annixx slices a gash in the warrior's arm on his approach, forcing the warrior to stiffle a painful scream. Ganemede - strike him down

Anixx takes a step back and starts to cast a spell, invoking a calling to another plane.

Ganemede steps forward, rears up and brings down its hooves (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=302479) on Anixx, following it up with a bite (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=302480). [14 damage from 2 hooves]. Annix does his best to concentrate (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=302808) on the spell, and is able to maintain it.

The knight drops the lance, draws his sword and attacks (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=302481) (forgot to roll miss chance - but he missed anyway) into the area where Anixx stands.

Anixx finishes his spell and a crocodile appears behind the horse and its rider. The crocodile lunges at the horse, but the horse's hide is too tough for its bite to penetrate.

Anixx then swings his sword at the rider again, connecting for another devastating blow. [13 damage]

Ganemede rears up again to attack Anixx, bringing its hooves (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=302831) down upon him and biting (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=302832) (not confirmed (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=302833)) him afterwards. [13 damage]

The knight swings his sword at Anixx, but cannot connect (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=302834) effectively.

Anixx walked slowly. The wind seemed to stop completely. Thw world was still. Ponderously, the cleric marched on, lost in thought, in memory. He was seeing things long past. It was here that the men, elves, and fey had made their courageous last stand against the forces of the goblin king Tuick. Upon the hill on the horizon was where Davest the Wise had said his last mortal words. The battle had been a desperate one. The hordes of the mountain warrens had penetrated the cold mountain passes, they were heading straight for Gladius, murdering and pillaging along their path. Their leader was the hobgoblin Tuick, a barbarian of great martial skill. He bore "Death's Call", an enormous black scythe with the power to command the dead. The scythe was used to animate the bodies of his dead soldiers. In the battle, the warrior was forced to hack the corpse of fallen a enemy to pieces or risk its re-animation. This was true for allies as well. Nothing was more demoralizing to an enemy then to be forced to fight its dead bretheren. And so Tuick delighted in turning the fallen on their former friends, brothers, and allies. It was here that his campaign had been ended. A high cleric of Heironeous had joined with the adventurer-mercenaries of the iron fist to beat back the hordes. As clear as day, Anixx saw the scene as if he were there. All that was left of the original force of Davest the wise had gathered about a hill. At its crest stood Davest, holy symbol blazing in hand as he called the might of his God to hold back the tides of the dead. A contingient of elven soldiers in shining Breastplate were fending off advancing ogres and orcs with equal vigor, but were being felled one by one as the tides of enemies grew. Standing with them were a few surviving members of the Iron Guard, the warriors of old Gladius. Their darkened steel armors contrasting sharply with the gold and mithril of their elven allies. One of the leiutenants was confronted by two armed ogres. Leaping high, he tumbled past flailing weapons to aim hard strikes at their legs with his great two-bladed sword. The ogres fell screaming, but the line was broken. Orcs began to penetrate the inner circle of the defenders. The warriors found themselves flanked, outmaneuvered, outnumbered by the enroaching tidal wave of golblinoids and giants. The fey sorcerers and elven war-mages fought on with spell after spell, destruction flying from their fingertips. The human clerics rushing into battle with heavy maces in their hands and battle cries on their lips. Davest turned his head skyward and called down fury upon the hordes as a small contingient of elven arcane arcers was overwhelmed. Many orcs were killed, but there were many more rushing to widen the gaps in the lines. Things were looking grim for the defense when Tuick made his bid for the enemy cleric. Surrounded by his elite and fanatical half-giant guard, he rushed the line, killing all in his path. He beheaded the leader of the elven mages, shattered the defensive line of the Gladius warriors, and found himself thrown from his feet. The druids had come, the undead warriors destroyed by the forest creatures. Tuick himself was struck to the ground by an animated trree. Dark clouds covered the field as the allies of nature called down lightning onto the orcs. The armies of Tuick fled and scattered, the defenders led by Davest were destroyed almost to the last man. The high priest himself was felled by a member of Tuick's personal guard. The final victory had come, but the cost had been great. And the scythe had never been recovered Anixx mused. He hit something hard, the skull of an elven warrior. A flash of insight gripped him. Stopping upon the cold ground, Anixx pulls a scroll from his pack. Sheathing Famine's Fang, he begins to read. White radience coils along his arms and whirls about him. The light moves to touch the skull. Old joints creak as the skull opens its jaw. "Where was Tuick when you last saw him?" Anixx whispers to the grinning skull. "Where was Davest when he fell?"

"They were locked in combat ere they fell off the hill in yonder dell." Rasps the skull. Anixx picks up the skull and carries it with him as he moves along the path. "They were here?" he says coming to the crest of a small hill. "Right here?" "Indeed the place of death is nigh, but look you farther towards the sky." Anixx looks up along the slope of a nearby hillock. His eyes come to rest on the stump of a great tree. The old wood is blasted and burned. The area around it has never quite recovered, it's still as black as the day the tree fell from its lofty perch. "That must be it..." Anixx whispered. "The resting place of Tuick and Davest." Hefting Famine's Fang, Anixx begins to head over to the hill. "Felt not, seen not, heard not, such is the fate of Death's Call. Stray not from your path, or it may take you away." the grinning skull chants in a singsong voice. As Anixx approaches, everything goes dark. A cloud moves to obscure the sun. Raising his eyes to the heavens, Anixx watches as the world grows darker and colder. A fell cold wind from the mountains sturs his hair where there had before been no wind. A profound sense of evil envelops Anixx as he approaches the hill. It seems that the taint of the mighty artifact, Death's Call has never been fully eradicated. It rests still in its shallow grave on the battlefield of the past. Buiried, hidden, but not quite forgotten. Anixx hears a whisper, a pulling in the back of his mind. He feels an urge to search for the weapon of evil. "I will not." Anixx says aloud. "I will not be possessed as Tuick was. I will not lead the fanatical hordes of the mountains to slay and pilliage the folk of the cities. My destiny has been laid before my feet, and it does not include you fell weapon!" Images of Anixx the Warbringer cloaked in black swim into the young clerics mind. A twisted adamantine scythe in his hands, power exuding from his every movement. Behind him the fanatical armies of apocalypse. The undead, the living, the followers of an avatar of darkness. In the distance Gladius. The men and women of the city guard standing shoulder to shoulder with the gladiators of the arena. The guilds united, the banners as one. Anixx bringing the plague of war to the world. Darkness... "No!" Anixx shakes his head as if to clear it. "No it must not be so. I will not toss my honor aside for such power. I am not the same as I once was!" Anixx stumbles away from the stump. The sun comes out from behind the clouds, a sense of dissappointment creeps through his mind before it disappears. Panting, bathed in sweat, Anixx stumbles away, but something stays with him. A seed has been planted in the back of Anixx's mind. Even now the seed is growing. Death's Call has selected its new master. It will not rest until it enters his hand. The weapon has been awakened. It sends its call out along the hidden weave of magic, gathering souls to itself. The dead grow restless...

As Anixx makes his way closer to the pavilion, invisibly, he eventually sees a rather odd animal for these parts - an ape settled down outside of the tent's main entrance. It appears to be keeping vigilance for anything approaching, but it likely hasn't heard Anixx yet simply because of the distance - after all - he is still over 400 feet away.

Still, there's little Anixx can do to muffle his full plate.

That beast no doubt has some fell purpose. To guard a strange edifice in the Gods-forsaken land. I will assult this guardian and so gain entrance to the item that it protects. The war-cleric halts his slow advance and slides Famine's Fang back into its leather sheathe on his back. Grasping a roll of parchment from his belt, he unfurls and begins to chant out an incantation. Almost immediately Anixx feels lighter. By the completion of the incantation, he floats in the slight breeze. Gathering another scroll, he soars through the air to confront the bestial guardian of the tent.

Anixx flies to hover about thirty-five feet from the large ape and about twenty-five feet in the air. Beggining a low incantation, Anixx summons a creature of the abyss. The fiery beast appears with a roar and charges along the field at the huge creature. Gathering more magical energy, he endeavors to create likenesses of his chosen weapons out of the magical energy surrounding him. "Foul beast, you tresspass on this land. Anixx charges Druid (1d20+10+2=26, 2d6+5=13, 1d6=6) (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=312731)

Jump for ape (1d20+6=11) (http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=312735) (fails)

So the spiritual weapon attacks, Anixx charges and kills the druid. The ape sets up for a run and jump again - then Anixx redirects the spiritual weapon and moves out of range for the ape to attack.

Anixx charges the ape, Famine's Fang held high. Reaching the creature, he smashes his weapon into its flesh. The creature gasps in pain as the weapon cuts a wide gash.

I meant to say that the ape was dropped from the remaining three attacks of the spiritual weapon...

Anyway - the questlog has been updated

Anixx stoops over the human-form of the druid and finds a pearl clenched in the dead man's hand. Radiating faintly with magic, a single word across it says Rejuvenate

Anixx wipes Famine's Fang on the tall grass and stoops to grasp the pearl. Staring curiously, he mouths the word before holding it out and saying forcefully. "Rejuvenate!"

Slowly, the power of one of Anixx's cast prayers returns to him. He grasps the pearl of power firmly and moves on to the battlefield site proper.

The place calls to him. Returning to the stump of the once great tree, Anixx carves the symbol of his magic into the old wood with Famine's Fang. The sword almost seems eager to create such a symbol. The wood seems to glow for a moment. Anixx begins a chant. Darkness cloaks the world as the sun sets and the clouds roll over to mask its passing a fell wind begins to blow as Anixx kneels before the newest shrine to his power, Famine's Fang left bare across his knees. Violet radience seems to ementate from the stump as Anixx chants. Grasping his sword firmly, he carves new symbols into the top of the stump. The wind begins to howl in earnest. anixx spreads silver over the cuts and the whole intricate design flashes with brilliant black light. A brilliance seems to steal away the night for a moment before setting like dying embers in the tree. Anixx starts to call to the dead.

Desecrate using the old stump as a permanent shrine to diety. Animation begins. I'll be back soon have a dentist appointment.
