| Master_Vega01-02-08, 03:07 AM | Ever screwed something up in-character? Roleplayed something perfectly only to roll a natural one on the check? Add yours here. :P 1. Cormick crushed the first enemy's mind and looked to the second, growling, "You're next. Any final words?" The man stood fast, despite the dark figure's intimidating posture (friggin' natural twenty... with my GM allowing auto-successes for skill checks. That lizard man should have been trembling... >_>) Determined to back up his threat, Cormick fired his heavy crossbow at his opponent... only to miss horribly and look terribly incompetent (Natural 1). (The next round I fried the guy with psionics, but I was trying to save power points... and ended up looking like an idiot for it. :P) |

One of them attack, and being a fey-ri, outsider, bypasses the defence field....hit....save against the suggestion "we are your friends"...natural 1....fail. Thereafter I roled it well, though :D I helped them, but unfortunately they couldn't get away from me before the end of the spell, so after a shapechange they met a ... burning end. |
| stupnick01-08-08, 03:09 PM | ok one of the best a player in my game had 3. They were fairly high level, level 12-13 and invading a duergar fortress... While were fighting a higher level cleric who surrounded himself in blade barrier spell. the monk who had i think a +19 or so reflex save, would have only failed on a natural 1, decided he was going to get them cleric.. charging in, ofcourse a natural 1 on his saving through.. so his improved evasion failed.. and he took damage. then the next round teh wizard was using baneful teleport (sp?) where he was actually going to teleport the monk out and one of the clerics minions in, the minion had a natural 20 on his save, and then the monks next rounds save against the spell was another natural 1... needless to say. that d20 died a horrible death that night. |
| ArgulFraster01-08-08, 03:34 PM | 4) A while ago when fighting through a modified Sunless Citadel, my DM threw what I had heavy suspicions was a polymorphed red dragon (a very shapely woman with a red ruby pendant) at us. I decided when she summoned an undead treant that an excellent way for her to die would be fireball. "I need more irony in my diet!" The treant nearly TPK'd us after I set it on fire. The only way we escaped was a unicorn that we had rescued. |
