Okay, I'm working on a changling character, and I had an idea.

Have you ever noticed that people make a big deal about the differences between identical twins? I was thinking the same thing would happen to changlings. Their features being dulled normally would cause people to latch onto any physical quirks their natural form happened to have.

Now, my PC is female, but a general list would be cool, so here I go with what my friend suggested.

1: She has a large, pouty lower lip.

2. She has a scar underneath one of her eyes which is visible in every form that she takes.

3) Marked with a tattoo on her upper leg, visible in all forms.

4) Intense stare (even while posing as a nervous servant) that sees through anything (high sense motive)

Birthmark or unusual skin tone, longer than normal fingers any scars, tattoos or brands (possibly guild related .... you're a fire knife now billy and just so you remember that ....). failing that different coloured eyes like a husky one blue one brown or whatever combination you choose.

Hope this helps

6. Eye twitches
7. Some kind of speech problem
8. Misses a finger or toe
9. Sweats a lot, I mean realy a LOT
10. has unusualy large feet (this can be applied to any body part)
11. Because she changes a lot, she sometimes loses control of 1 or more limbs, the start to act on their own (think about the roleplaying fun in that one)
12. 3rd nipple
13. 4th nipple
14. She always has a bad-hair-day

16. Gap tooth apparent in any form. (But she's sooo sexy with those buck teeth)
17. Fatter looking face (normal form is a little chunky and she doesn't realize it so all her forms are a little fatter than normal- not extremely noticable, but she gets asked alot when impersonating people, "Did you gain a little weight?") *personal note-my cousins are twins and for many years this is how we told them apart, one cousin's face was a bit fatter than the other.

I've thought of a couple more-even though everyone has given up on this.
(I thought it was a good idea and a cool concept) Did you use any of them, Riznar?

18. a mole on her cheek that stays during changes
19. a skunk streek in her hair (think like Rogue of the X-men)
20. unusual texture of skin on her cheek where she was scarred by acid in the past. Now she can't "change" right on that side of her cheek. It might lead people to ask if she was recently in a fight or something as it looks like a bruise of some sort. She could respond with a "you should see the other guy."
In her normal form, it is noticible as an acid-burn scar covering most of her cheek.

As you can probably tell by now I like things that make them a little "off" but can be explained away with a creative bluff check and some fast talking. And how many times the person doesn't realize this flaw about themselves. The acid is a nice background touch. Maybe she is looking for revenge on the people who did that. Because of her injury, she avoids the high profile sort of people to impersonate but her disguises don't hold up under close observation.

And by the way, I still like #17 the best. My cousins wouldn't like the comparison but it is true.
