3.5 casting [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-31-03, 08:06 PM hi, im new in this, so i hope i might get some help
i read the new 3.5 rules for combat casting, so my elf cleric cant cast spells with a large shield in his casting hand, how could I cast without lossing AC of my shield, still bear a sword in combat, and lossing as less actions as possible. I thought of quick draw, that way i loose not a move action taking my sword out only sheathing it, but im not sure.

08-02-03, 07:44 PM a) the point is that you can't cast spells and have both a sword and shield out.

b) for actual solutions to your dilemma go to the character optimization board. That is where we handle that kind of issue. This board is where you would ask about roleplaying a fighter wizard.
