What alignament do you think "The Bride" from Kill BIll is? I would say she's probably true neutral or lawful neutral

I think i would agree with a Lawful Neutral Alignment. She clearly had her own code of conduct. Such as offering several of the target's henchmen/henchwomen a chance to leave without being harmed.
She let some teenage boy go when she saw how young he was. She also let the survivors go after the battle. She did not want to harm any of her targets infront of children if it could be helped.
So clearly she had a method to what she was doing and not just randomly killing everthing that moved even after they had stopped fighting. Which i believe would be lawful. She also only wanted to kill the people that had tried to kill her and leave her for dead. Which i feel would be neutral in the way she went about it.

So... she is following laws now in the Kill Bill 2? ;)

She was once a member of DiVAS, she could have been either LE or NE at first...had a traumatic event in her life (like a bullet)...and now demands revenge, blood and takes no crap from anyone...sounds more like LE...she plans her tactics before she kills.

It definitely is not lawful behavior. Probably true neutral as she is concentrated on her revenge and nothing else. The people she targets do deserve her revenge, but it is not like she is out there to do good, just to pay back. She is frankly pretty selfish, so TN with evil tendencies is a pretty good match.

Once more...

LAWFUL does not mean "law-abiding." Devils are lawful evil. Does that mean they won't kill if killing is against the law in a given country? I doubt it.

The PHB says:
Lawful characters tell the truth, keep their word, respect authority, honor tradition, and judge those who fall short of their duties.

"Law"implies honor, trustworthiness, obedience to authority, and reliability. On the downside, lawfulness can include close-mindedness, reactionary adherence to tradition, judgementalness and lack of adaptability.

and:

"A lawful neutral character acts as law, tradition, or a personal code directs her. Order and organization are paramount to her. She may believe in personal order and live by a code or standard, OR she may believe in order for all and favor a strong, organized government."

and finally:

A lawful evil villain methodically takes what he wants within the limits of his code of conduct without regard for whom it hurts. He cares about tradition, loyalty, and order but not about freedom, dignity, or life. He plays by the rules but without MERCY or compassion...He is loath to break laws or promises. This reluctance comes partly from his nature and partly because he depends on order to protect himself from those who oppose him on moral grounds. Some lawful evil villains have particular taboos, such as not killing in cold blood or not letting children come to harm (if it can be helped). They imagine that these compunctions put them above unprincipled villains.
The bride's clearly got a code. It may not be on the law-abiding side, but she's consistent and won't break her word (at least, she didn't in vol. 1, I haven't seen vol. 2 yet). She's clearly out for revenge, which is a very selfish and evil motive.

By contrast, John Cusack's character from "Grosse Point Blank" is Neutral Evil. He "sheds no tears for those he kills whether for profit, sport or convenience. He has no love of order and holds no illusion that following laws, traditions or codes would make him any better or more noble."

One of his great lines: "No, you don't understand, I'm not a psychopath. A psychopath kills for no reason. I kill for MONEY. It's just a job."

'The Bride' is Lawful Evil, just like 'the Punisher.'

Neutral Evil

Neutral: The Bride shows a complete disregard for law. The normal machniations of her life are not at all effected by the existance of law. She is not interested in destroying law as a whole as it is usefull as a tool on occasion.

Evil: The Bride kills for money. The Bride lives to kill for vengence and will kill anyone who tries to stop her. The Bride desires to see her enemies bleed and suffer and she has left children motherless and has maimed dozens all for revenge.

Where is the hard question? :D
