Quithion 06-24-03, 09:43 AM	One background that seems particuallry good is one from Faiths and Pantheons about Torn. Many of us know that Torm died ( im sorry for the spoliers folks but this is common knowledge) fighting bane in tnatras. in order to defeat him he had to use the souls of his followers there. However, torm refused to tkae the souls of children leaving many of his devout followers children as ophans. According to the book many are coming of age now afterh aving being taken in by the church and well looked after. Some are showing strengths in the religion of torm. One of pcs took this and ran with it. He is creating a Aasimar ( his human died at the fould hands of a drow ranger human hunter) He is creating a child that resented the faith of torm and took up martial trianing in the local militia where he afforded himself some small sucess until the celestial blood in himself manfiested its powers where he left to learn to control his powers. ( sorcerer) after whcih he travelled 3 years learning what he could about his magic and himself until one day his chaotic spirt no longer suited him His desires for wanderlust died as he met a fellow child orphaned in tantras a powerful cleric of torm. She changed his heart and it was soon there after he was called to service asa paladin of torm. This is all before play but he may be taking up spell sword or Ruamathari battlle mage during play. I thought it wasa nice story. Thoguht I would shar and thank to those who commented about Magnus the dwarf from the silver marches.
