| Arikas11-02-05, 06:36 PM | Are there any alternate rules if a paladin gives up his mount? I couldnt find anything in complete divine, complete warrior, or unearthed arcana *shrugs* anybody know of any rules? |
| nihility11-02-05, 08:33 PM | The "despot" and "enforcer" variants from Dragon #312 and #310, respectively, get the Leadership feat rather than a mount, minion, companion, or familiar. All other paladin variants that I know of gain a mount, minion, familiar, or companion of some sort. |
| Arikas11-02-05, 09:02 PM | hmm maybe i can work it with my dm that i can have leadership instead of a mount, thats one of my feats anyways. |
| Setherial11-03-05, 05:04 AM | actually in our group we've never used a paladin mount (other then for transportation perhaps) and it's still an excellent class. I guess mounted combat is just not something that comes up in our games :) |

Unless your game deals a lot with open spaces a special mount is almost one of those useless abilities, although the Tunnel Fighting feats make mounted combat in confined areas a lot more appealing. |
