| Arden Blackleaf08-01-05, 09:42 PM | Well folks I need some help fleshing my FR character out. My character concept would be a sort of drow bladesinger. Concerned with the protection and superiority of the drow race. TN in alignment. He has seen the females time and time again foul up and is concerned that their elitist attitude will threaten the race. He can be a ruthless bastard or a relatively kind soul. What I need is Diety. What would be a suitable deity for this character? Background Ideas. Some general ideas on a decent background. Don't write it for me. Help fleshing out his personality. Im trying to figure out what makes him tick. |

I know drows are elves, but while any other elf subraces would freely deal with each other, we will rather see a Fire Elemental in the ocean than a drow elf dealing with a non-drow elf. So perhaps your drow had to deal with an elf (I mean, a non-drow elf) bladesinger. He would have learned how to be a bladesinger, and that part of Lolth's teaching is false. So why a drow and an elf should deal together, even for a short period? The answer would be to fight a greater foe. Perhaps were they both slaves to an Illithid or an Aboleth? Having fought the monster, the elf taught the way of the bladesinger to the drow, and explained him that most of Lolth teaching is false. They stayed together in the underdark for a while, and they were almost friends. Almost. As the drow began to recognize the area near his city, his old mindset returned to him, and he flet dishonored to deal with an elf. So he killed the elven bladesinger, and bringing back his head, he was received as an hero. Slowly, he realized by himself what Lolth was a pushing the other drows to do, and he turned against her. About the deity, I think Vhaeraun would be the best. This drow (as per this background) has no way to know Eilistraee, goddess of good drows. He would rather know about an elven deity the bladesinger was worshipping, perhaps Shevaresh. |
