| Arismir01-24-06, 06:40 PM | Hey everyone. I want to play a Venerable Exalted Jermlaine Druid in my upcoming campaign; however, I still need a fully fleshed out background. So, I'm coming here to receive aid from your creative minds. Campaign Background: The campaign specifics are still undecided. This includes campaign setting. So, it's going to be hard to draw too strongly off of a specific campaign. Most likely it will be Eberron though. Also, I do not know where we're going to be starting, but that doesn't have to be incredibly relevant. Starting level is also unknown. It will hopefully be level 1 or 2 though. Character Background: As I said, I'm going to play a Venerable Exalted Jermlaine Druid. His name is Gnimsh. He is going to take a Vow of Poverty and also eventually receive the Saint template. His current animal companion is a dire rat named Scampers, which he will use as a mount. Gnimsh is now very old and seems somewhat senial, although this is not true due to his incredibly high wisdom score. He knows he's old and he knows he's a coward (for now at least). But he is out in the world to find himself and his god. Background Draft 1.00: Gnimsh was born and raised in a typical Jermlaine society named [insert name]. Gnimsh survived just like zny other Jermlaine, by setting traps, ambushes and waiting for a victim to plunder. However, one day Gnimsh was influenced by [respective nature deity of campaign setting] to cast away his old habits and traditions to live a meaningful life that contains potential. Gnimsh, then left his Jermlaine society to live in solitude. He found a small hillock and started working on a home for himself. After making everything cozy (by Jermlaine standards), Gnimsh spent the rest of his years as a solitary hermit living off the land and coinciding with nature. At first, it was difficult for Gnimsh to rid himself of his old habits, but that is what [prenominate deity] intended for the little Jermlaine. Slowly, Gnimsh learned how to live a more fruitful life. [insert his meeting with Scampers]. Upon attaining such divine enlightenment, Gnimsh was compelled to attempt to spread the word to his brethren still living in [prenominate Jermlaine society name]. However, as Gnimsh was welcomed back to the Jermlaine society, he soon realized that his kin paid no attention to his good word. Soon enough, the old and feeble Jermlaine was exiled from his society. Upon becoming an exile, Gnimsh decided that if he cannot convince his Jermlaine brethren, perhaps he can convince others of the divine power of [prenominate deity]. From that day, Gnimsh departed his cozy home in the hillock and set off into the horizon with his friend Scampers. Obviously, it still needs work, so that is why I am coming to you guys. Thanks for any advice and critqueing you can provide. |
