first of all, in the campaign my friends and i are in, we just recently got our own castle. but (of course) there are some problems with the area round it. so one of the things we had to take care of was to clear out a cave controlled by a bunch of undead guys. so we go to battle them... and im the only one to die from the lich's wail o' the banshee. after that, he uses create greater undead on my corpse and makes me a vampire (and i intend to stay that way :D ). but the problem is that one of my friends is a paladin who has made it his purpose to destroy as many undead as possible. so i plan to get away from the group, raise an army of undead, and go against them. and, if the DM allows, i also intend to become a vampire lord. so any ideas on how i could accomplish these tasks?

Bribery? Everybody like twinkies ply your DM with these and you're in there.

If you want to play the same game than another player and be his ennemy, it'll be hard. You could discuss with your DM if he wouldn't play a few games while you DM your vampire infestation. If it doesn't work, perhaps discuss the opportunity to play an evil campaign later?

I think it's quite possible to have a party where there is a NE rogue and a LG paladin. The rogue could swear to not steal from his friends, so it'll be possible to live together. But to play an undead in a game where there's another player with an undead-hunter paladin? Good luck!

im sure rping an undead character wont be a problem for me... but the real problem is just getting away from the party. cuz where we left off, i was standing right in front of the whole group. so all i need is a flawless escape plan and WHAM! the undead fun can begin :D (oh, and just so you know, the party consists of the previously mentioned paladin (who is a half-celestial), a cleric, a wizard, and a (crappy) monk (with no constitution bonus... ) and we are all the same level (15th))

Run, or get one of the other party members to hold off the paladin while you escape(hope your character made friends).

what i plan to do is to use children of the night to distract the others/block some spells, dominate the person with the lowest will save (or the paladin if i can), then either run like hell or kill someone depending on who i dominate. if i dont get the paladin, then i want to eventually get some cursed items on them to screw them over. if i do get the paladin, then the rest are all pretty much screwed (he's the strongest next to me).

Instead of all that muss and bother, why not use the old tried and true route, requires only a single roll of the dice even:
Character says: "Don't kill me! I know how to become [insert old race description here] again, but I have to go do something alone first! I just need time!

Then you and the party see if you’re lying out of the side of your mouth. :D

Of course, I DO have a good reason to give this suggestion, if you FAIL; you loose an action, so the good guys have a chance to get you. :D
