| Earl Power04-05-04, 10:34 AM | hello everyone, its the power of earldom here ! ok, new 10th level character since my fey'ri ranger/rogue got creamed and im looking for opinions and help. I originally wanted an Aasimar paladin 9....but i dont like the code of conduct, especially for the current party set-up. So, my next idea was a fighter7/divine champion 2. The idea being that i am a divine champion of the deity from which i was spawned (we're playing necropolis and their pantheon is almost exactly the mulhorand pantheon). Basically, i will be a chaotic good character but i will label myself a paladin at every opportunity...."I am Nathaniel Amarec.....paladin and champion of (insert good god with scimitar as favoured weapon here). So, the party will believe i am a paladin and i essentialy get similar abilities but with the flexibility of my favourite alignment: chaotic good. As for personality, he is a very religious character, beleiving he has been "chosen" to wield the power of his deity directly.....an honour few can claim....as such he is quite arrogant, but with his chaotic nature is a wanderlust and slightly shady nature to him. His background isn't groundbreaking currently, but i'm sick of making epic backgrounds for characters...some characters can just be normal people. My mother and father were young adventurers in the same group who fell in love at a young age, swearing oaths of chastity until they were married. But my deity visited my mother in mortal from in what she thought was a dream and gave his seed for me to be born. When i was born, clearly a bastard son to someone other than my father, my father went crazy, killing my mother and being imprisoned for it. I was alone on my first day of life. I was taken in by the temple to my deity in "the city of gods" in Skuld, the capital city of Mulhorand. They obviously recognised the importance of the holy symbol of my deity being emblazoned on one side of my face. Showing great piety and reverance to my deity....i still had no interest in being a stuffy old priest like the ones in the temple grounds and instead focused on martial abilites whilst learning of the gods. I have become a champion of my deity and above all else seek to thwart the plans of evil deities opposed to my own, furthering my deities own ambitions and cause. Although i am not scared to do this in an under-handed way, not quite amoral, but definetely under-handed. After spending my teenage years in "the city of the gods" i decided i was wasting too much of my youth and needed to see more of the world whilst focusing on my true goal, servitude to my deity! I traveled to Unther, thesk and Halruaa with several adventuring parties before receiving a sign directly from my god that i was needed in the southern lands across the sea known as Zakhara, more specifically the kingdom of Khemet, for there was a great evil stirring there. and thus i travel to Khemet and join up with the party whose goal is to destroy this evil also. any opinions or ideas to make this better?? also, what good gods are there in necropolis that have favoured weapon scimitar? preferably chaotic, but neutral or lawful may do. thanks. |
