| torqboy108002-16-04, 03:36 AM | Hey, guys. I have a rogue that I'm currently playing. My dm let me trade some class skills for other ones (intimidate for diplomacy for example) I'm currently maxing bluff, perform(acting), diplomacy, sense motive, and sleight of hand. I get 11 skill pointsa level. I'm trying to think of how could continue his character type things without majorly weakening him. I'm also trying to think of a good way to play him. I vary between compulsive liar/kleptomainiac and sycophantic sissy. I don't really like either, and I need a new angle. we do a lot of planar travel, and so people skills, and quickly adjusting to new social environments is very important. I want to make my guy a "people person." Can you guys help me think of things, anything from character build tips to development tips? this wouldn't really go in the min max forum, cause it has questions for rping. We're currently level 2. thanks! |

As far as personality goes, have him adopt an over-the-top swashbuckling style, Zoro like in nature. He would be a blindingly fast combatant, and make extensive use of tumbling and acrobatics. His magic use would center around charm spells and illusions. He would be a lady's man, yet someone any gentleman could respect. His clothes would always be tastefull, and he would stay unruffled in even the direst of straits, with a snappy comeback and razor sharp wit for all his enemies. I would also recommend taking some ranks in Gather Information. If you do alot of planar travel, it would be wise to develop a network of informants in your favorite haunts. Take an active role in developing these, perhaps securing loyalties of people by doing deeds for them. Hope that helps. |
