Why don't you give us a bit more information about your character? Then we could help.

Okay, I know I'm betraying what I've implied just above, but let me give you an idea based on what little you've given us to work with. But next time, remember to provide as much detail as you can, okay? :rolleyes:

African Elephant Fighter? You do mean an african mounted on an elephant, right? Not a fighting elephant that happens to come from Africa? :)

Alright. So, how did such a peculiar character end up in a wizard's stronghold? (I'm assuming the setting makes this occurance somewhat exotic) Easy. The wizard had underlings scouring the faraway lands for exotic mounts for his army. Something out of the ordinary, something really dangerous. Elephants were discovered, but nobody knew how to handle them, feed them and generally avoid getting trampled by them.

Except those natives the underlings fought a couple of times. The ones who were so skillfull riding the massive beasts. So, along with half a dozen elephants, they captured one such fighter, so that he could take care of the beast in the wizard's beastiary.

Or, instead of the wizard actively seeking out such mounts, maybe some vassal offered the elephant and its caretaker as a gift to the almighty evil wizard.

There.

But of course, he could mean a Fighter that's an Anthropomorphic Elephant or somesuch. Or just a normal elephant who can use swords... Hmm...

-----

In his youth, Elephino was worked in a travelling circus as The Amazing Long-Nosed Boy. With the 'help' of whippings, he learned how to stand and walk on his hind legs, and was always a sight to see. When he grew old enough so that his elephant heritage was aparent, he was cast out, and went high into the mountains.

He found there a monastic druid's grove, and he was welcomed. From these druidic monks, he learned the ways of combat, and gained inner peace. While he possessed no hands, he perfected a combat style that involved kicks while using a Greatsword in his trunk. When he 'graduated' from their training, the high druid awakened sentience in him. Now intelligent and a master in fighting, he left the grove, and went to see the world.

An evil wizard, meanwhile, was continuing his work on the planes' greatest bestiary books, "The Monster Manuals". To do this, he often kept newfound beasts to expirement on, to find their weaknesses and strengths. Only a few had ever escaped his capture, or had never been captured, but he was quick to make something plausable. He would need to pay the bill on that Tarrasque-sized hole in the stronghold. Word came to him of a walking elephant that fought with swords, an interesting specimen. The wizard decided he must have him, and sent his best men out to capture it.

Set on in the dead of night by the wizard-ninjas, Elephino put up a great fight, slaying most of them. However, he was captured in nets, and dragged back to the Wizard's stronghold.

{Now, if he's anthropomorphic, I'll add this:}

Among other trials, there were tests for polymorphing. After many tests and trials on polymorphic effects, his orignal form had shifted somewhat. He now possessed hands, and while his trunk was less pronounced, he could still fight with swords.

{If he's meant to have already left, add this:}

He soon found the wizard's constant testing too much, and escaped, downing many guards in his path, and leaving an elephant-sized hole in the door. For escaping and causing damage, the wizard has a loathing for Elephino, and will kill the beast if he is ever found again.

While I'm a bit doubtful that it's actually an elephant, Anthro- or not, there's a background just in case ;)

Hum, well first I will pick you appart alittle before helping, dont take it personally, its just how I get my annoying brain to work.

Do you think you can create an origanil acount name, without copying one of Terry Brooks Shannara charcters names? Also, just alittle tiny bit of advice. CLEARIFY WHAT YOUR RACES IS!

That said

Following Elzabans lead that your an elephant, um well...give me a while to think on it...

I believe his race is "African Elephant." It's even better if it isn't anthropromorphic. You should name him Tuskoyevisky.

You know, I don't think Meion_Leiah or whatever is coming back. It's been what? At least a week, and he hasn't deigned clarify his initial post. All this trouble for nothing... :)

Hey, come to think of it, his character could be an african who fights elephants, too.
