Wizard wanted me to post up my final build and all that for my Storm Sorceress, so here it is, in case anyone else wanted to see it as well. (this was the best place I could think to put it)
The orcs were pilliaging. Homes were burning. The wind was whipping itself into a fury. The last thing the few surviving townsfolk needed was a storm, when they had no place to take shelter. A fork of lightning ripped across the sky, and thunder pealed loud enough to shake the burning tembers. It wasn't just a storm coming, it was a monster of a squall that would surely tear what was left of the villiage to the ground. Lightning flashed again, a child screamed, and pointed to the sky. There was suddenly someone there, floating in the air, that wasn't there a moment ago. A woman hung there, arms outstretched, heels together, like some kind of cross, eyes burning with an electric blue light, with crackling lightning sparking in her hair. Surely it must be some terrible goddess, come to laugh at their plight. Then, in a voice that echoed and gusted like the winds around her, the woman spoke.

"The storm is nature's fury. The storm is blind, it doesn't care who stands before it, the storm scours all from it's path. It rips trees from the ground, and shatters boulders with it's lightnings. Only a fool stands before the storm!"

As she speaks, the wind whips around her, and lightning flashes all the harder. Even the orcs tremble. The villiagers are sure their time on earth is at an end. But then, something happens. The womans voice seems to soften, but somehow also gains an edge even sharper than it had before.

"But I am not blind, I do not strike with impunity. As the lightning flashes in the midnight brings light unto the world for a brief instant, so do I bring the light! Those who take refuge in the shelter of a good heart, fear not, for the storm shall pass you over, and the morning shall be clear and bright. For the wicked that stand in my way, know that you do not face a mortal foe. I harness chaos, and shape it to my will. Know who you face, you face the fury of nature itself, for I am the Storm!"

From her outstretched hand, lightnings repeatedly struck forth. The commoners huddled in fear, but it wasn't they in whom this sorceress had given her attention to. The orc band that had stopped to listen to her speech were running now. Lightning exploding into the ground in their midst. Whirlwinds caught up those that tried to escape on their own, all the time with a burning rain falling that touched only the fleeing warband.

Most of the orcs lay dead, only a small handfull had escaped the storm. Still the villiagers were afraid, for the woman had not left. Again, she stretched out her arms, but this time the winds died, and the sun began to shine, then two suns. It was still the middle of the night, how could the sun be shining, much less two? It was the woman, the bands on her arms were shining like the noonday sun as the winds died, and the clouds receeded. As the last cloud rolled from the sky, the woman's bands faded back into darkness, and the moon and stars bathed the world in their silver light once again. The woman dipped down, and stood with her feet on the ground.

"They will not bother you again," she said in a voice, now gentle as a summer's breeze. With that, a small wind picked up the debris about her feet, and when it settled, she was gone. Come morning, the villiagefolk found the craters from where the lightnings struck, the trees splintered from the winds, but not a single home that had survived the orcish raid had been harmed. Easily overlooked in the confusion and fear of the night before, but the wind and rain had actually put out the fires that the orcs had set. Although they still did not know who or what the woman had been, she had told the truth. The morning came, and it was bright and clean. It was time to rebuild.

Accourding to customer services, the Elemental Savant is immortal. As elemental creatures (which they become at ES lvl 10) are immune to aging and cannot die from old age. Of course, they can't be resurrected normally as they are no longer humanoid, but oh well. Thats what wish/miracle is for. And with this build, by the time she gets Elemental Perfection, a Wish/Miracle spell shouldn't be that hard to come by.

Hmm... I don't see chain lightning in the spell list.

Oops, fixed.
I was going off an early copy of her spell list, and was updating it as I went. Guess I missed that one.

Simply beautiful. I'm not as imaginative in creating flavor substitution like many of your spells (telekinesis is an excellent example), but I like that she has a theme. Too many of my wizards, whiled RP'd well, have no specific theme other than a sort of Gandalf\\Merlin\Dumbledore archetype. While I don't think I'll go the elemental path as you have, I can see interesting ways to use one school of magic to achieve the flavor effect of another.

Thanks, Edyminion. And nice narrative, too.

That is great!

I've been thinking about a Storm Mage (sorceress) too. Ask your DM if you can choose from a few Druid Spells too. Spells like Control Wind would fit in perfectly.

DM doesn't really care if I dip into the divine spells, as long as I stay away from healing (which I totally agree with).
