oi, i play a swordsage and was wondering what kind of background other swordsage players give their characters? my dude is a half-elf and was raised in the wild where many tigers roamed and became a tad animalistic to the point where he doesn't use ranged weapons like bows and arrows, throwing weapons or spears and such. he was found by an old swordsage and was taken in as an apprentice. the swordsage, my characters sensei (that's what i call him) tought him about the 9 disciplines and the 6 that swordsages use the most. he also taught him how limiting the choice of disciplines can allow for better mastery of the ones chosen. the sensei was a setting sun , stone dragon and shadow hand master while my swordsage chose tigerclaw and desert wind. and so he went on the be a loner type swordsage and eventually hooked with my current party. not exactly the most original but i like it for my dude.
