| iamtheholymolyman12-29-03, 05:11 PM | Hi everyone, I have 2 characters that i am trying to make back storys for. The first is a 5 guild theif/5 orc warlord/5 warmaster who has lots and lots of followers, in the hundreds. he is half- orc. The second is a 5 guild theif/ 10 dread pirate and he has atleast a dozen ships under his comand. what i am going to try to do is have both characters team up and use their military might and start creating an empire. Both Characters are evil. I know that with only 2-3 hundred troops i cannont conquer a city. my goal is a political take over. So if any one has any suggestions or such, i would love to hear them, thank you. |

The best way to get political power is to buy your way in, with enough money you can bribe officials and such to vote for one of the people who is associated with the two characters their. Get enough of them being the mayor's in cities and having high offical power in the kingdom court, and eventually everything will be under your power. Or you could cause mass disorder in a city like killing off the king and all his close advisors, and no one will know what the hell is going on, then you can have your two characters could appear and put everything back into order and taking power that way. |

Put a stranglehold on it's food, trade and other income. (goes for a small country too) Raid it's caravans, pirate their convoys, this doesn't just break their econmy down, but also the financial power and you can com across some pretty nice stuff once in a while. Plus, lest I forget, you can always offer "protection", maffia-style, which grants you another handle to grab control. |

Nothing beat intimidation & terrorism. Alternatively, you could bribe other evil warchiefs (giants, dragons, death knights, mammoth riders, etc.) to enlarge your ranks. |

It should be slow acting enough that it keeps them very sick- but doesn't kill too quick you want at least some time so this way they don't all drop dead. Have your army move in on the outskirts and set-up camp. Hit the common folk first. Get the message out that you have the only "known" cure. Any man, woman, or child that wishes to join your army will be given the cure. More than likely you'll get a lot of "serf" types signing up. You'll get families signing up. Women and children make good "camp" caretakers. They can help set-up camp, cook, etc. Next to poison, you could also set loose a highly contagious disease that's cured by an herbal remedy with an herb that only your army seems to posses a lot of. A good book to get your hands on is Sun Tzu The Art of War. |
