Dark Focus
Transmutation
Level: Asn ***
Components: V,S
Target: Self
Range: Touch (self only)
Duration: 10 min/lvl
Saving throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell resistance: Yes (harmless)

The concentration required to focus on a target before making a death attack is lowered by 1 round (to 2 rounds). Furthermore, the time the caster is able to wait before making his attack, after focusing, is increased by one round. This spell does not stack with itself.

02-24-04, 02:47 PM First things first - wrong board. This will probably be transfered to the Spells and Magic board.

That being said, I'd probably make it a 1st or 2nd level spell. Its not too powerful, but certainly usefull.

I would make this a 1st level spell that worked one time, OR a 3rd level spell that had this duration. I'm leery of changing this kind of basic mechanic.

And change the range to "none" or something. And remove the Will save and SR. If the only valid target is the caster, then he can't cast it on himself without his permission....
