| DragonChildX04-19-06, 04:00 PM | The moon was full as the brease fought its way through the trees of Forlorn forest to blanket the small town of Corvire with the first scents of the wild flowers of spring. Things were dying down in the town as the hustle and bustle of daily life came to a slow end as nightfall came down to blanket the town with its promise of a new day. Tatyanna was a young woman barley in her twenties and unwed. It wasnt that there were not enough suitable men in the town. But that none caught her eye. She sat in her room under the candle light brushing her hair in her grandmothers beautiful antique mirror that she inherited when she passed the following year. As she brushed her blond hair befre retiring for the night she though of the traveler that apeared earlier that day at her fathers inn. He was tall with dark brown hair and sparkling blue eyes. He carried a harp and had an air of confidence that everyone he passed seem drawn in to him. Tatyanna kept thinking of his beutiful face. Thoughts of trying to get him to stick around for a few days went through her head as she let out a small giggle at a particular devious one! Petals from the old flowered crab apple tree came through the window as the wind carried them through out the city. the pedals resting upon the floor and her bed. She turned to admire the beauty as the last of them settled in her room. But no sooner had the smile came across her face as it did disapear. The pedals wilted in place as they shriveled into brown husks. Tatyanna looked confused as she moved towards the window to look outside. The lamp lights were still on but nobosy seemed to be walking about. Tatyanna could hear a small scraping noise like metal on stone. Looking to her right she saw a body of one of the town guards being dragged into the building that served as the towns local jail. Tatyanna looked around and noticed that a few of the town lamps were put out. But somehow in the darkness she couldnt see their shape at all from some of the remaining light. They were unnaturally dark as if plungged into the deepest cave where no light could touch. Soon more of the lamp lights went out in a similiar fashion. Tatyanna ran to her door and opened it quickly rushing down the hall to her fathers room. she placed her hand over the door knob and gave it a turn. But the door was locked. "Father Father somethings going on outside" she wimpered as she knocked frantically on the door. But no answer was forthcomming. Noise could still be heard from down the hall towards the bar. Tatyanna walked slowly towards the noise to hear a most beutiful voice singing what seemed like a sad song of love and loss. She felt drawn into the words and began to walk with a hastened step towards the main room, enchanted by the beautiful voice. Walking towards the music she saw a flicker of light disapear from one of the windows to her left. Looking slightly confused at the sudden disapearance of the lamp she though of how odd that seemed. She knew something was wrong but couldnt place her head around it as the music continued and she was wisked off into the songs story. Shaking her head for a second she tried to remember what was so weird about the city lamp going out. But even caught in her own contemplations she felt a slight nudging towards the song. Shaking her head a few times she looked back out the window. Another lamp plunged into that eternal darkness that was so unusual. Then she remembered the strange occurences as her clouded mind seemed to clear itself. Walking towards the music anyways in the hopes of finding her father she stepped slowly down the stairs and peared around into the common room. The beautiful man who she had been thinking about earlier was singing while plucking his harp. She took a few minutes to admire him before looking around for her father. There he stood behind the bar listening to the music with a dazed look upon his face. After a few minutes she noticed everyone had the same look on their face. All caught up in the mans voice as if caught in a spell.'a spell. Thats what it was' she thought as she silently wispered. "Magic" The front door opened quickly to slam against the wall as a small group of dark figues walked into the common room. Their cloaks were black and the small shine of what looked like chain mail underneith each of their cloaks betrayed them as warriors and not casual travelers. The man who sung turned his head to them and nodded and they returned the gesture. Each of the cloak figures reached into their cloaks and withdrew blades both curved and strait. Some long ans some no larger then a dagger. But all equally deadly in the right hands. Tatyanna's face turned from curiosity to horror as the group of black figures decended upon the patrons of the common room with ruthless abandon. They were helpless to defend themselves as the dark figures slaughtered them with abandon. She watched as one of them grabbed a fist full of hair and pulled back a womans head. She looked up at him still with a look of dazed happieness on her face. The figure pulled back his hood to show long white hair and black skin. He smiled back but not with any compassion. It was a melevolent smile. With a confused look now comming over the womans face as he drew her attention away from the singer. The dak figure plunged his dagger into her throat. Blood splurting all over her own chest and in the dark figures face. But his expression didnt change as he pulled the dagger to a side to open the wound. If anything he showed an unholy pleasure from his morbid deed. Tatyanna gasped then covered her mouth as if realizing her own mistake. One of the figures turned to her and with a malicious smile threw a chair in his path away and moved towards her, bleeding scimitar held firmly in his grasp. |

| DragonChildX04-20-06, 12:06 PM | Its actually the beginning. The Bard is the father, The woman the mother. He isnt born yet. Its not easy explaining how a half drow human came around and be plausable! You have to remember this is only the beginning of it. before his birth |
