Giantslayer 05-08-05, 08:03 AM	Well, after a long time of IRL, we're now getting back into D&D. New campaign, new Dm. Setting: Forgotten realms, aka Faerun. Build: bard10/rogue 3/ Ghostwalker 7. I'll start at lvl 1, but that is what I'm ultimately aiming for. My PC was born in a big city, his mother, died at childbirth, he was for some unknown reason, adopted by the spinster matriarch of a noble house, one of the ruling houses of the city. Despite his odd looks, nobody commented on his appearence, the old lady made sure of that, she was set on "saving him". He was given the best "classic education"(hence, Bard.) Including the use of the rapier for dueling. No matter how much love he felt from the spinster, he knew he was different from everyone else. When the spinster died, things changed dramaticly for the now 18 y.o Tiefling. He was kicked out of the mansion by the rest of the family, and after spending some months on the streets(hence, rogueish), he was finally run out of the city, this has given him extremely weird thoughts about the "innate goodness" in people. He believes that all he does, will, in the end, cause evil, he tryes desperately to re-deem himself, but, sarcasticly and pessemisticly, he feels he's loosing the battle to his innate evil. He will be entusiastic, but a bit pessemistic and depressed as to his own shortcommings, and the shortcommings of human nature. His alignment, will be either CN or CG to start off, then we'll see where he ends up. For him, the campaign will be a battle against his inner self, and a search for the truth about his parents (and he IS gonna beat the living outta his "dad" if he ever finds him...). As the campaign starts, he has just set out on the "quest" to learning more about himself, his heritage and his parents. since the campaign will probably start in the silver marches somewhere, I think it'll be fitting if he came from a big city in that region, or a neighbouring region. (suggestions??). He meets two of the other adventurers in a roadside in, (a "human" sorcerer with dragon dreams, and a wild elf ranger, on his "road to manhood"), they talk, and comes to the conclusion that they all got the same goal(s) for their travels, these places includes Silvermoon(the "capital of the silver marches"), myth drannor, candle-keep and some other places. They decide that it's better to travel in company, then alone and vulnerable on the road, so they decide to team up. Any suggestion on what city/country my PC should be from? Prefferebly somewhere quite "bigot" and where Tieflings are VERY uncommon. Any good ideas on fleshing all this out a bit? Thoughts?? Cya -Me
Josuwar 05-08-05, 08:51 AM	Everlund is a possibility, its relatively close to Hellgate keep... so that might also help a bit with your ancestry. However that town strikes me as pretty "open", so they wouldn't drive anyone outta town unless that person had committed some crime (which you might have done, of course, if you were a rogue for some time). With the whole being run out of town thing though, I'd say that Mirabar is the best option, its part of the Sword Coast North, so its close. Mirabar even has tensions between humans and dwarves(!) so they shouldn't have a problem discriminating against your poor tiefling :P.

I'm looking for "other" PRCs atm, since I'll probably just go Ghosthunter 5 levels, and I'm considering ignoring the whole rogue levels thing. I'm currently considering getting "outsider wings" in the later levels, prolly around lvl 12.. but I'll need a way to conceal them.. I'll probably have him "embrace" his daemonic sides, but using them to his best abilities to do good. suggestions?? Cya -me
