Schitzophrenia_Manifest 04-28-06, 07:43 PM	I could both use ways to improve upon what I already have and ways to continue the backround up until the point where my character becomes an adventurer. Arnor Hadrid (my character). was the son of [father's name], a reknowned hero of [campaign world], living with his father, mother, and two siblings in a quiet village. However, one night an evil wizard, enemy of his father, cast a spell on [father] that made him hallucinate that the people around him were demons. As the wizard sat back and, through scrying, watched in perverted delight, Arnor watched in horror as his father began murdering his family one by one. [father] slew his mother, sister, and brother before advancing on him. Arnor, armed with nothing more than his belt knife, stood trembling as his father approached, raising his bloody sword above his head. However, at the last moment the wizard on a whim released [father] from the spell. And at the last moment, Arnor found his courage and fought back against his father, stabbing him through the heart. [father], returned to full awareness, could only stand and stare as his eldest son killed him. Ironically, it was at that moment that the villagers came bursting into Arnor's home, having heard the screams of his family as they were killed. That's all I have as of now. Fithero 04-28-06, 08:49 PM	Dude... that is just so... *evil* :D Nar but seriously that is a pretty sweet turning point for your character, what you have to do now is decide what happens next. If the villages attacked him then he might have become a rogue/scout, living his life on the run from the numerous officials who want to inprison him for killing the great hero. Perhaps the dark wizard appears as the towns folk bash him to a pulp and save him, taking him into enslavement, making him the wizards apprentice. The character tries to resist, but cannot deny the power that is laid at his feet by the dark wizard (also, he doesnt know it was the wizard responsible for his families death). Runs from his village with his fathers sword and joins another kingdoms militia or monastic order, swearing an oath of revenge against the wizard (and the town, for severaly scarring him in some manner) I dunno man, theres alot you can do with it, its a good idea.
