I am currently working on a character for an "Evil" campaign my friend is planning on running soon. I have the stats down already (except for some skills). The character is a Neutral Evil Azurin Incarnate who I plan on taking into the Necrocarnate PrC eventually (an evil incarnum zombie master).

However, so far I only have the barest ideas of what the characters personality and background are going to be like. Right now the character is a Neutral evil character that is borderline true neutral who is (in short) a hobbyist: He collects stuff. Specifically, he collects strong/useful/interesting monsters who he in turn changes into a zombie under his control. He only keeps the best though (so if he finds one he likes better then the one he has now, he'll swap them). So if it weren't for what he collects, he'd probably be more true neutral then neutral evil. However, if he comes across a living creature who tickles his fancy, he might try and kill it just so he can reanimate it later.

So here is what I need advice on: How did he get this way? I am not familiar with making Azurin or Incarnate characters (or incarnum based characters in general). I also have very little experience roleplaying a neutral evil character.

As far as skills (to flesh out the characters personality, he is starting at level 2): he currently has 5 ranks in Knowledge Arcana, Knowledge Religion, and spellcraft (all three of these are required for the necrocarnate prestige class). He also has 5 ranks in profession (Moonshiner) (because I couldn't think of anything else).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
