| Jason_Vorhees 1303-22-05, 08:49 PM | Click here (http://www.dndonlinegames.com/view.php?id=11122) I'm not done with this character, this will be the second character I make with a background (I think I'm getting the hang of it), the only thing I have on it that I'm going to go over is Abilities (I looked over his history and thought his INT was to low), please reply. Although I don't have to have this done till saturday I would still like replys A.S.A.P. Thanks!!! :D |
| Morka03-22-05, 10:00 PM | A few things: 1) You describe the church of Cyric as the church of Bane should be: well organized, physically treatening, at the head of a powerful army. Cyric is more in thieves guilds, in evil noble schemes, in lies spreading. Actually, the noble girl whom he broke the heart is more likely to be worshipping Cyric than any other NPC you described. 2) Is your character really evil? When he will get rid of his cursed amulet, will he return to a good alignment, regretting the evil he had done? For me, it sounds like this, and I'm not sure it's enough evil to become a blackguard. I mean, a blackguard has to meet an evil outsider to learn the true meaning of "evil". You could have the amulet be an intelligent item using Suggestion three times a day to tell him his faith is false, his father betrayed him, his brother loves young boys, anything that could bring him to breack his faith, and then fully embrace Cyric's church. |

Thanks for the advice, I haven't been playing in Forgotten realms long so I'm not quite formiliar with the deities, I just skimmed through the campaign settings afew times (only had it for about a week), I'll look into the Lords of Darkness supplement and check with Bane (I'd probrally like to use him better). Really the amulet is most definetly the weakest part of this character, I have been thinking about two nights ago "Well Mike will be DMing next week so I'd better make my character.", the amulet was the best way to describe what is slowly causing the decay of his soul, I made it where the drawback is that it would turn him Lawful Evil and that being the original good natured person he is, that he himself wouldn't accept these changes until time goes on. Like I said I have until Saturday to finish him so I'll still be working on him, like I said I'll check with the church of Bane, and take it from there. Edit: Just read up on The Church of Bane (God I fell stupid), I'm about to go and change that, thanks again Morka. |
