| Mr. the Hun11-08-04, 11:10 PM | I'm DMing a campaign in which the party rogue wants to try and play a blind character. I'm wondering not only the mechanics of it, but also how that would affect someone psycologically. I know there are a few threads about blind spellcasters, but never any about any other classes. So, any help here would be very much apperciated...any. Thanks! |

Was this character blind from birth, or lost their sight due to an accident, a disease, or an act of violence? Just isolating the cause might narrow that particular question's possible answers down quite a bit. It's hard to be all that bitter about not having something something one has never known, for example, but at the same time it would be rather difficult playing as someone who has no idea how to envision anything, because they honestly have never seen what color is or how light plays off of different textures. On a side note, for a decent semi-humorous, semi-sagelike blind rogue example, the movie Sneakers offers up a good character, albeit a modern-day one. |

But listen i would do like 2 for 1 if he/she put 1 rank in they would actully get two. Say if he had like 4 ranks in listen, it would be as if he had 8. This is only my opinion though. |
