| Doomed_Penguin04-06-07, 09:52 PM | Hey guys, I'm going to be playing a Blue who is a Psychic Rogue, while one of my friends will be a normal Goblin Rogue that will be my character's older cousin (he'll be kind of looking out for my character). They're both CN, so they only look out for each other. Tips on a more elaborate backstory? Maybe why we left the tribe (or how)? I'm kind of at a writer's block here. |
| fil kearney04-07-07, 12:07 AM | my tip... which is the same for all characers.... Allow each player to make up stuff about each other's characters. Regardless of what it is, it sticks. 1. don't be a jerk... the rest of the team can be jerks to you too. 2. any time something comes up in game that strikes your fancy, relate it to something from your past... "remember that time we..." 3. set some taboos for each character (doesn't drink, doesn't kill kids, always picks on gnolls, etc.) this will guide the other team away from intrinsically against the character. You'll be amazed out how effective and FUN this is. the team will bond faster, because you are all contributing to each other's history. beyond that, just let it flow. people overthink stuff. |
