| Nate Jones02-22-06, 02:07 PM | I'm looking to create a new character very loosely inspired by Star Wars's Boba Fett. I envision him as a Lawful Neutral bounty hunter, who utilizes a variety of weapons and tools to neutralize his prey. He should, however, be quite adept at unarmed combat. Stat wise, mid level strength and wisdom, high dexterity and intelligence and mid-low charisma and constitution should fit the bill. This character is still very newly hatched, and so far from fully fleshed out. My intent is to probe the thinktank here a little to help him come along. Suggestions for feats, classes and races to reflect his character are all welcome (As well as fluff), although no punch-by-punch twently level spreads are necessary at the moment. Edit: I had considered monk, but the quasi-mysticalness and unarmored combat style turned me away. Perhaps some mix of Fighter/Ranger for the first few levels may better serve my purpose. |

I would also try to convince the DM to let me sacrifice my pet for a limited sneak attack, perhaps something like +1d6 at fourth level and +1d6 per four levels after that. Ranks in Sense Motive, Spot, Tumble, Jump, and the like would also be beneficial. |

Ranger of course gets the superior combat abilities as well as Track. I would say that between the two were your best bet. I also second Justiciar, though Bloodhound (name?) from Complete Adventurer would work well. Dragon 326 has the Unarmed combat style, granting Improved Unarmed strike, Improved Grapple and Stunning fist for the combat styles. If you go as ranger you may want to consider this. |
