| mod500011-14-05, 05:10 PM | Hi, all! I'm currently building a character who was originally a Human with a Minor Air Elemental bloodline, but either Reincarnated or permamently Balefully Polymorphed into a mouse (still keeping the bloodline tho). He feels that he is the epitomy of a paladin, and his size change hasn't affected that one bit--he still wants to help people, fight evil monsters, etc, with help from his Iaijutsu Strike (which I'll work on later via the Iaijutsu Master PrC, gonna take a full 10 levels). Now, I usually don't have a problem making imaginative backgrounds for characters, but this time I'm stumped... the campaign is set somewhere in Greyhawk, so I took Mayaheine as my diety, since I'm also planning to take a few levels of Pious Templar later on. At the moment he's a level 1 Samurai (OA), but the flavor can be anything, not necessarily Oriental, with plans on entering the Paladin class next level, or the level after (LG alignment). He has a high Int, Dex, and Cha, but abysmally low Wis, so I made him rather quick-tempered. Does anyone have any ideas for a background for him? |

And it seems like before that, many samurai or paladin backgrounds would do, so long as he either somehow bites off more than he can chew and gets killed (and a cleric reincarnates him), or he bites off more than he can chew and gets polymorphed by some wizard. What do you want, here? Just a character background in which having the fortitude of spirit to continue the fight in spite of being turned into a mouse makes sense? From my understanding, genasi in general tend to think that they're superior to everyone, and regard themselves as being above others, air genasi especially, so it wouldn't be surprising if he thought, "well, I may be a mouse, but at least I'm a mouse with a bit of air elemental in me, not some basic human. I'm still more than a match for whatever comes at me!" |
