'ello everyone, LONG time no see. Haven't posted in a while, so, don't complain about me being rusty :D

So, here's the deal, we play in faerun, and, my last 2 characters, have been shotdown, due to RP reasons (both were dependant on another player.. who got bored both times, and changed character...)

New try, I'm NOT going to make this character RP dependant on anybody else.

So, browsing around, I decided to do something that I've never played before. a Gnomish druid.

We're starting at lvl 9, and I thought to myself, that a dire wolverine would be kinda cool.

I'm not sure wheter to focus on the shapechanging aspect, magic, or animal companion aspect, but that will solve itself sooner or later.

The group concists of:
1 CN fighter rogue, aiming at weaponsmaster.
1 True neutral sorcerer/dragondisciple.
1 half ogre forsaker/barbarian. (god knows what alignment he is.. he's called brutus, and is about as intelligent as a small k9... best RP I've seen though, considering the player is one of the smartest blokes I've ever known...)
1 LE fallen paladin of bane.

Now, I'm a bit unsure as to HOW I should play my poor gnome in this mess, the only 2 things I know, is that a) I want to avoid the willy-nilly rabid protector of the nature routine (freaking out when people step on flowers and such...). And B) alot of the Gnome's personality, is based on wolverines/badgers. Ie, tries to avoid trouble, but if backed into a corner, will fight untill either he or the opponent is dead. This, to some extent, falls well with the gnome behavior, since, IMHO, they seem to wish to avoid conflict as long as possible.

As for alignment, I thought it might be a good idea to go for true neutral for this one...

Other than that, I'm bloody stumped for ideas, so any and all ideas to make this character a bit more interesting, are gladly received!

Cya!

Theres a difference between enjoying, respecting, and caring for nature, and fanatsism, which is sadly where many druids end up.

What about playing up one of the things people most assosiate with gnomes, but with a twist. Thier inventiveness. Perhaps he can be, like other gnomes, incredibly inventive. But his inventiveness comes from nature. He may have a knack for traps utilizing natural material and terrain.

how about you play an evil druid? If a plant gets crushed, thats life... if you happen to tear out the throat of the person who did the stepping.... hey thats life too.

It seems like your party is lacking any sort of *good* character, no need to throw more chaos into the mix by being the first, just go with whats already there. Also, just wondering, what type of gnome? If your a normal gnome.. then yeah a badger would be good, but what about a forest gnome or swibilvin (spelling?) all good options.

Anyway, good luck with it.
