They have more spells then the adept so don't say its their lower spellcasting ability. They wander around alone (wouldn't you like to have a little animal to talk to?) or in a party (so do wizards and sorcerers). They may be slanted toward chaos but are only slightly more so than a sorcerer (because they can't be lawful, and that is only thinking that familiars may be a lawful thing but then whats with Imps). The only argument I see for them not having one is it would make them over powered. i haven't had time to look here but I've heard them called underpower (tha one0on0one with other classes thing doesn't hold up and Ill explain why if someone asks) Let's say someone wanted to be a bard that had a familiar. What if anything would you make them give up in return? |

| Fithero10-02-06, 10:01 PM | no, the feat is something like "you must be a # level arcane caster to take this feat." Its basically to allow classes who use arcane spells (bard, Warlock, Beguiler, Duskblade) to gain access to a familiar. So in short, if you take that feat, your bard can get a familiar, no need to change the class at all. Peace |

They aren't as powerful as familiars, but I'm not sure if there was a limit to how many you could get. >.> And training animals to dance or something while you play music would be cute. ;) |
