Bzar 01-03-06, 02:02 AM	i dont have alot of experience i am trying to finish my character and need a little help from someone can anyone tell me what character appearance, traits, disadvantages, history, goals in life are and what i should put?
Ashianyl 01-03-06, 02:10 AM	start by posting a character build... it's easier to post suggestions if others can see what your character is like. Warriors have different goals than a Wizard. Wizards may have a well developed body (if you put high strength). Dwarves are shorter than Humans... etc. :)

braindead345 01-03-06, 02:56 AM	What campaign setting? Forgotten Realms, Grayhawk, etc? Where did your character grow up? What are his stats/skills/feats? What weapons and armor does he use? Why them? Tell us something about his family. Is your character right-handed or left-handed? What vital statistics does your character have (height, weight, eye color, skin color, hair color, and age)? Use page 109 of the Player's Handbook. What alignment is your character? What dieties does he pray to? Why did your character start adventuring? Does he have a love interest? If so, tell us about the object of his affection. That should start you and if you think about it, you won't need much help from us.
Bzar 01-03-06, 03:37 AM	well campaign setting not sure really all i know right now is the game is called city of the spider queen where did my character grow up dont know stats skills feats 16,15,14,12,10,12 skills not sure i picked alot for him feats athletic,blind fight,dodge,improved initiative,combat reflexes,mobility,quick draw,spring attack,weapon focus dwarven waraxe,weapon specialization dwarven waraxe and my weapons are dwarven waraxe,battle axe,handaxe my armor full plate,large steel shield why these just because i think they fit a dwarf i guess something about his family not sure hes right handed height 4' weight 120 lbs. eyes light brown skin tan hair long brown age not sure dont have one hes choatic neutral dieties none dont have one why he started adventuring not sure love interest not sure
Pandaemoni 01-03-06, 04:11 AM	For all the things you said you were unsure about, just make them up. It is your character and so long as you dont go nuts (for example, hs father was the god if war--bad; his father was the the chief armorsmith of the dwarven settlement where he grew up--better). Same goes for the love interest. Make her (him?) up as you see fit. It's your character and half the fun is figuring out who he is, why he is that way and how he reacts to events around him. You may have to wait to pick a deity (though your character could just as easily be irreligious), as your DM will need to tell you what gods exist in his world. Otherwise, pick any set of facts that you think are cool and that are consistent with how you want to pkay him. If he slaughters all enemies on sight without mercy, or if he tries to talk his way out of combat if he can...that's up to you. When your done, discuss what you've come up with with your DM, and he can let you know what needs tweaking. For the most part, most DMs let you keep whatever sort of background you think is best.
