can't speak the language [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-04-04, 01:34 PM i am playing an elf who found himself in ravenloft after a number of adventures. i can't speak the language of ravenloft so i have found myself sitting around a lot at the table while the other characters interact with the ravenloft world (their characters were originally from ravenloft). any advice rp-wise to make my character more active in the game?

08-04-04, 05:33 PM Well, you can spend 2 skill points to learn the language. Or more IC, you can have a party member translate for you, and you talk though your party member. Also you can try to have a party member teach you the language more IC and maybe the DM will give it to you for free. You can also try gestures if all else fails.
