Hey y'all!

I'm looking to make a character armed somewhat similar to Leon Belmont from Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a magic gauntlet or gauntlets that would be good for crushing undead and demons into nasty pulpy bits. I would also be interested in finding enchantments that work best for whips and actually make them somewhat dangerous.

+1 Holy Demon-bane Gauntlets of Disruption?

For a whip, the best enhancement is easily Morphing.

Use a whip-dagger from A&EG.

well, to my surprise, we began running the old-school Ravenloft adventure, updated for 3.5, just after I started designing this character. So far, here's how he ends up:

Male Human Rogue 2/ Paladin 3
Stats: Str 14 Dex 16 Con 14 Int 13 Wis 14 Cha 10
Feats: Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Whip Dagger), Improved Initiative, Ancestral Relic (from the Book of Exalted Deeds)
Possessions (many bought thanks to people on this board): +1 Whip Dagger (Ancestral Relic), + 1 breastplate, +1 spiked gauntlets

My trusty companions are:

Male Dwarf Sorcerer 5
Male Human Fighter 5
Male Human Fighter 4/Rogue 1
Female Half-Elf Ranger 3/Cleric 2

Bah, screw the Belmonts. It's all about Grant from Castlevania 3. As far as I can tell he'd just be a level 1 rogue with gloves of spider-climbing or somesuch.

Yes, the Belmonts are not the be-all-and-end-all of vampire killing, but as we all know, Strahd will probably survive the battle and we will escape Castle Ravenloft (barely!) with our lives... He is, after all, a really powerful necromancer according to Dragon #315 (which our DM is using) and returns for a second adventure in a bigger, more dangerous castle, with bigger, more dangerous stats (Necromancer 18 instead of Necromancer 10). That will be years down the road, so I will have to be ready with another character (I am not sending a 70 year old against Strahd).

Alucard fan myself, nothing left to say.

Alucard ROCKS! Now, it just so happens I've been working on his stats too...

he's obviously a katane (half-vampire), but he has the ability to absorb more powers for the purposes of say, familiars and such. He is a unique katane (see half-dead races issue of Dragon Mag).

AlucarD is a Full vampire... Blade is mabe a design from him. He has all power, but no weakneses.... (ok takes damage from water in the game)
But if u going to make him in D&D use the vampire template. add the sun dread feat, so u can be out in daylight
Give him a longsword or bastard sword. :)
