Mmkay, I know I'm not the best or most original writer, but go easy on me please  :

The underground fights started about 100 years ago with the development of larger cities and organized crime. At first, they were arenas where any warrior deperate for money could compete to win money, while spectators would bet on the victor, but these soon escalated into cage matches where the rich aristocrats would pit their trained slaves against each other in hopes of increasing their riches.

About 50 years ago, one of these wealthy families ordered their soldiers to capture centaurs from a nearby forest, and thus they began a centaur breeding program in hopes of training the perfect grappler and winning millions in the arenas.

Jason was the end result of this program. He was brought up emotionless and cold. Although he was tought to speak so that he could taunt his foes, he was never educated any further, and he knew no thing of the world outside of his daily, vigorous training for perfection. However, throughout his life, he always felt an emptiness inside like a part of his soul was missing. This was the part of the soul usually reserved for happiness.

As much as he wanted to cease these bloody competitions, the constant survailance he was kept under along with his heavily weighted chains prevented any chance of escape, not that he had any idea what exactly he would escape to.

It was only when a member of the Greyhaunt Investigators uncovered this underground activity that Jason's "owners" and many other aristocrats were persecuted for illegal slavery. It was local ruling that Jason was to take over the estate of his former "masters."

The first thing he did was hire a tutor to teach him of the world. After hearing of its many wonders, he decided he wanted to see the world for himself. The property he had inherited from his captors was liquidated, and after making a generous donation to the Greyhaunt Investigators as gratitude for freeing him, he set off to fill the emptiness in his soul. Maybe he would find somebody to see the world with. Maybe companions. Maybe friends. Maybe a lover. Maybe a savior.

Having only recently uncovered many emotions others find common, Jason is quite awkward in social situations. He's not yet completely familiar with sarcasm, humor, or even amusement. He's not sure how he feels or should react to the confusing pun the Bard just spoke. He cannot identify with the relationship between the twin Fighter and Wizard. He doesn't interprait the anecdotes the Cleric often refers to.

Jason is also unusually submissive for creature so large and bulky, since he's always been used to taking orders or facing the consiquences. He's also not beyond allowing himself to be treated as a mount, something normal centaurs disdain, because he has little if any sense of pride. This is a crucial trait that made it impossible for him to live with other centaurs.

Build-wise, I'm going to be doing:
Monk 2 / Fighter 4 / Reaping Mauler 5 / Fighter 7

and the stats are 30 point buy, so including racial modifiers it goes like:
STR 26 (+8)
DEX 18 (+4)
CON 20 (+5)
INT 10
WIS 12 (+1)
CHA 8 (-1)

any opinions? :)

Wow, that's really good! Story made sense and, to me at least, fits well with the concept you laid out for Jason. When I read his classes/ranks and stats I actually heard most of my PC's yelp in my head! He could stop a truck! :D

Pretty cool character there. I like how he gained control of his old masters estate, very good.

Perhaps as a story hook, he is interested in seeing one paticular thing in the world. For instance, maybe his tutor told him of a island where there was a giant water fall or something... i dunno. Just one thing that he is greatly in awe of which he must see.

But yeah, i totally agree with Dhrandor, this guy is a tank.

A great point in this story is it's an entire network of gladiators that have been brought down. So you should meet a large amount of NPCs that were gladiators; if it wasn't death match, you could even meet NPCs you fought. Some of them might be helpful, while some other might be resentful.

As a side note, a centaur's ECL is +6 (4HD +2 LA). So you should take a total of 7 fighter levels instead of 13.
