I really love the changelings but I also love the dragon sorcerer. I want to play as both but one of my DM's requires me to have a background story. I know I could get my sorcery from my shape shifting heritage but I love the draconic flavour. I am thinking that a 1000 years ago a doppelganger took the form of a drow and fell in love with a shadow dragon. The dragon took the form of a drow (through a spell or maybe a magical item?). A 1000 later the doppelganger DNA gets dilluted and a changeling is born (changelings arent 1/2 doppelgangers!) The changeling has shadowy-dragony sorcerey!!! Yes I do know about the deep dragon thingy for Faerun but A. We arent in Faerun and B. I dont have that book :-P Thoughts?
