| Razieliffied04-02-06, 01:03 AM | My DM has announced a new campaign to begin in two weeks. I have decided to play as a Changeling, as Doppelgangers have always been a favorite in my games and this race has evaded me for too long. I have very intention of playing a fighter/rogue multiclass character, because I usually play the skill-junkie/ninja/scout and have a habit of dying because my BAB wont let me hit anything. I'm also interested in the warshaper prestige class from complete warrior. Several questions. 1. How does one roleplay a Changeling? I'm lost for anywhere to start. 2. What kind of backstory should I use? I wish to avoid traditional Cliche's wherever possible, although we have been told that our characters are loosly related to royalty (the lost cousin/heir to the throne kind). 3. Level 7? I usually play really low level or epic. Should level effect my roleplaying? Any help here would be hot. |

How about writing that you worked in the palace, so did your mother, but you don't know about your father. You're just the guy working in the kitchen... Yes, it's cliche, but if you spice it up with a rival, a crush on someone in your youth and the likes, no one will care (or even notice) 3. Why? You can play a level 1 character as an arrogant bastard and a level 8,000,000,000 as the epitome of humility. Level is just a metagame thing, don't let it influence your roleplaying. |
