Character background help needed [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-21-07, 04:44 AM please excuse my lame plug for help.

Generally whenever my DM throws us the task of writing up a character background I can come up with one in a matter of minutes. This time when my DM threw down the gauntlet I've come up dry and came down with some writers block too, maybe its because Eberron is a new world to me.

Basically my character is:
3rd lvl Ranger
Valenar Elf

03-21-07, 07:15 AM A key with the Valenar is not to have a cool background for you, but have a cool background for your ancestor. How did he help in the war against the giants? Did he do anything really cool that you hafta do to honour him? What killed him? (if its still alive you would want to kill it) Did he have any cool things you want? And stuff like that.

03-21-07, 04:06 PM so just been told by the DM that I cant use the giant idea but suggested drow....... anyone able to help me with this background?

03-22-07, 12:04 AM He escaped the prison of another drow house or the slave mines of the Illithid and now wants revenge. Very simple.
