OK I need some help. Here is my character backstory and I am looking for a good build. I am thinking straight swashbuckler 5 and then take levels of Gladiator. Any thoughts would be welcome.

BAckstory:

Farin Darktooth is the third son and fifth child in his family was brought up in the manor of the Dwarfs to love the dark stony earth and sight of Drow blood. His father was the strongest warrior and captain of his clan’s war band. Farin was expected to follow in his father’s proud and heavy footsteps. However, as he grew his inherent love of the fight began to dwindle. Farin enjoyed performing and spent as much time as he could with a local dwarven bard. Farin’s father was not going to have his son be a worthless entertainer so he sent Farin to Grouth, a Gladiator Captain and old friend. “If he was going to be entertaining he should learn to fight as well,” said his father.

During Farin’s stay with Grouth he began to enjoy the rush that he got from performing in the gladiatorial rings. He worked hard on learning the arts of gladiatorial combat with an Urgrosh and became quite the champion. The dwarven society considered the gladiators invaluable because of their great one-on-one combat skills and hence seldom ever fought to the death. Farin rarely lost a contest and became quite a celebrity. His ego was growing with every victory.

During this stint Grouth became as a second father to Farin. Grouth had two sons of his own and the three young dwarfs became as brothers.

One-day his father called for his return to their clan. War had broken out and the Darktooth clan was in a fight for their existence. The Darktooth clan bound together with many other area dwarven clans to fight a growing war with the Drow. Many of Farin’s fellow gladiators were called into duty. Grouth’s sons joined Farin in this war. Farin and his adopted brothers fought valiantly and killed many drow and spawned many stories. However, as victory seemed imminent the tide changed. The draw overran the dwarven stronghold and slaughtered many dwarfs. Among the lost were Farin’s adopted brothers, Farin’s own father and his middle brother.

Farin retuned to Grouth with the news of the death of his sons and of the death of Farin’s father. After spending the better part of the next year with Grouth honing his skills with his Urgrosh Farin set out to find glory by avenging the lives of his brothers and father.
