Moon-Lancer 01-12-05, 05:28 PM	I was wondering if anyone on this board could help me with a character concept based off an elven druid with a vow of poverty. I don’t really want to skimp out on the exulted role playing. However on this rare occasion I’m playing a druid that is chaotic good. The dm has wavered the restriction on the neutral alignment. This druid wants his sacred vow (vop prereq) to be possibly based off protecting the forest and its inhabitants (fey and magical creatures and animals). Respect the goddess ehlona, but not worship her. He feels that he must make his own path in life. He cannot have faith that the gods will to grant him good fortune. also he feels that gods are more human then they seems to be. He even suspects that ehlonna and other kind god/goddess may be sick of everyone worshiping them (like movie stars and autographs). This character obtained his druidity through unusual means (hence the chaotic alignment) in this instance there was a druid king about to be awakened into his druidic heritage through the means of a alter. This druid was supposed to be sort of a savior to the druids. He would fulfill some sort of mysterious purpose or guide them to the deepest reaches of the fey world. Anyhow, my character isn’t this person. My character was a level 1 rogue. He snuck into the druids of Ehlonnah temple and tried to steal a very valuable artifact. In the process, now this is were it gets really fuzzy, My character, in the act of stealing this item, accidentally causes an event to occur were the new druid king dies and my character gets level drain and looses his rogue levels and gets one level of druid. By this I was thinking that my character could accidentally have the ceiling fall and interrupt a ceremony that was in effect to awaken the druid king. The king would die and part of the energy from the ceremony would overwrite his rouge level and turn it into a druid level, nearly killing him in the process. After this incident, he would be thrown in druid jail were the druids would give him major guilt trip. He would have a scar (more like a rune) somewhere on his body that would act as a df. Since it was his roguish greed that got him into this fix he takes the sacred vow and vow of poverty as a way to atone for his mistake. Later in his Cell crafted of dirt for walls cealing and floor, Roots for bars, he learns, to and effect that he is a failior. That while he is a druid with their language ingrained into his mind, he is not a very strong druid. I gave this class a hindrance in Unearthed Arcana -1 to ac in exchange for a feat. That’s how as an elf at level 1 he was able to take 2 feats. He escapes druid prison in the middle of the night by shape changing into a fox (he later learns that this should not have been possible for him but has no explanation for how he did it (the dm has something in mind)) and fitting through the bars. I have these questions though: What should I use to fill in the fuzzy bits in the temple/ceremony/accidental death bit? The dm suggested something about maybe a big gem that was like a pillar through the floor of an upper level and the ceiling of the lower level that somehow held the ceiling together and I tried to steal it (its only suspended between the two floors, it doesn’t actually touch the floor of the lower room like a real pillar would). But I’m not sure. Help. How do I play this character? Especially as exalted? He’s really different from most druids but I want him to be unique from another character in the game who is also a guardian of the forest and somehow probably tied to fey. Also any suggestions on how to play his rollplay his current feat selection and stats, please do not by shy and post your insightful ideas and thoughts. Dm is allowing delayed feats. Starting level: 5 Tarran Vailray Str: 13 Dex: 16 Con: 13 Int: 14 Wis: 19 Cha: 15 Weapon: Boken 1d6 x2 slashing Sacred Vow Vow of Poverty Nymphs Kiss (exalted) Intuitive Attack (Exalted) Exalted Companion (exalted) Natural spell At level 6 possibly taking golden ice as a bonus exalted and blindsight (MoTW) or a Metamagic Feat
Mastermind020 01-12-05, 06:01 PM	According to the players handbook, druids have to be neutral of some kind so playing by the rules a chaotic good druid wouldnt be legal.
