| zephyrmage4201-11-07, 01:11 PM | Hi. This is the gnome beguiler that I plan to play in our Eberron game once we switch DM's. We are relatively high level for Eberron, hence his background including lots of experience and such. Let me know what you think <<<<>>>> http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/1782/alesloshdy2.gif (Image by Simius over at the Order of the Stick forums. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/)) "The name’s Roondar Foonick Aleslosh Shamil Namfoodle Daergel, professional diplomat, spy, pirate, scoundrel, explorer, adventurer at your service. That’s Clan Daergel by the way, but you can just call me Aleslosh." Aleslosh normally resembles what can only be called a gnome shaped burst of color. From his wide brimmed orange hat, glimmering silver shirt (with just a hint of metal underneath), flowing red cloak, deep purple pants, black leather boots and an ornate rapier slung dashingly low around his waist, everything about him clashes against the eye in an unmistakable fashion. His grey eyes are sparkling, and always roaming. His blonde hair is well groomed, including a neat goatee. He is energetic, personable, quick laugh, and quick to poke fun. Aleslosh, as he came to be known was born in Zilargo. His parents were and are engineers working on elemental bound vessels. He grew up in Korranberg, and still calls it home. He was born 98 years ago, just after the start of the Last War. He grew up around his parents work, but never seemed to have much of a knack for it. In fact, it seemed he was better at finding out things about his parent’s coworkers than doing any “Real” work. His parents always chuckled, and encouraged his behavior. By the time he was almost an adult he had mastered basic illusions and enchantments, and was extremely well liked. He went to study at the Library of Korranberg and it was after a few years of study there that he was approached by the Trust. They offered him a job as a negotiator and a spy for Zilargo. He quickly accepted, and after a few more months of focused training, he set out. At first he was given easy missions, but his skill for information gathering and negotiation sent him on more dangerous and clandestine missions quickly. By the end of the War, his skill in his profession was almost unmatched in Zilargo, and he was given some of the top missions, including being sent on the delegation to Thronehold to sign the treaty (though he was not the one to sign from Zilargo). After the war he resigned from active duty with the Trust, much to their dismay. He had too much of war and nation-building, though he left on friendly terms. He took a job with the Library of Korranberg, much to his parents’ joy. There he became a field agent, and was sent to retrieve items and information. He took many adventuring jobs along the way, and now spends most of his time as an adventurer, though he forwards any information or priceless artifacts to the Library or the Trust. He always stayed on good terms with the Trust, and though he may work someone else, he remembers the hard work that he and others put into forging their nation, and guards it above all else. Like most of his race, Aleslosh is cheerful and energetic. He rarely works alone, unless on a sensitive information retrieval mission, as his skills are not always suited to combat, though he certainly knows how to handle himself. He is an explorer at heart, and wishes to see all of Khorvaire, and maybe even to the ruins of Xen’drik. His past exploits have earned him a wanted status in almost any city of note outside Zilargo, but he was and is always careful to keep his real identity obscure, especially on a mission. Like many beguilers, he enjoys the spotlight, but only if he’s the only one who knows who that bard’s tale is really about. He prefers to keep his past and his allegiances secret when he works with other adventurers, feeling that such things might cause distrust. |
