| fftechbeta06-06-05, 01:09 PM | Well...I've never done this before but we'll see how it goes. My first PC's name is Dax, he's a Half Silver Dragon Centaur, 8'0", very strong and durable. For his background, I have only that because of his Half-Dragon blood Dax was rejected by his tribe (he looks very different (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=439039)...and took up the wandering ways of the Ranger. Becasue I have so very little, really anything is usable. If anyone has any neat ideas about how to flesh this out more, or what got him towards the Ranger class that would be great. |

Silver dragons are usually devoted to characters with Good motivations, perhaps was he rejected by his tribe, but I doubt his silver dragon parent would have rejected him. For this reason, it could be better if he was "magically infused with draconic blood", this way it's more believable that he would be rejected by everyone. This "infusion" could come from an artifact he shouldn't have touched, a wizard he shouldn't have met, etc. As for why should he want to be a ranger, that's both a tough and easy question. Ranger is the favored class for a centaur, so perhaps is it all that he knows. It's also a good way to survive in nature when you are very strong (along with barbarian). If you decide to be the child of a centaur and a silver dragon, he should have been abandonned very young; perhaps his centaur mother meet him in secret to feed him and teach him how to be a good ranger. An half-silver dragon is usually LG. He should have accepted the rejection with serenity; still, he should be seeking ways to help his former tribe by defending them from hiden enemies: once again, purely ranger style. |
