In a little while two buddies and I will be starting an evil campaign in a couple of weeks, and I'd really like this to be a campaign to be rememebered. The DM has given the other player and myself three PCs to play with, considering we're only three people playing.

I am not as apt in making character backstories as I am in designing characters mechanically, but I would really like to improved this aspect of my gaming, and I'd appreciate as much help as possible.

The first, and only, idea for a really sick and twisted evil character was based on Elijah Wood's role in Sin City, as well as the most famous Hannibal. A cannibal.

This character is most likely going to be the party's skillmonkey, rogue type. I would like him to be smart, and creepy as hell. I'd like his intelligence to only add to how creepy he is, like Hannibal.

Mechanically, I'm going to be using some levels in Factotum, but apart from that I am not sure what exactly he'll be doing.

Mechanically this character is going to be constantly demoralizing the opponents, and I am very focused on using the Avenging Executioner prestige class from Complete Scoundrel. As for feats, I was thinking of using Willing Deformity,as well as one of the deformity feats for a basis of his fear inspiration.

I haven't yet thought of, or been suggested, an idea for this PC's character yet.

Nor this one.

Also, I am not even sure as to how this final character will look mechanically, except that I know I would like to have one caster type under my control. Maybe a sadist Evoker or Cleric with spontaneous Inflict spells... I don't know.

The other player in this campign we're going to start has only two PCs decided upon thus far:

1. The first is going to be a caster, a Pale Master from Libris Mortis, who is going to be a necrophiliac, summoning undead... Doing them after battle...

2. Is going to be a Hexblade, but I'm not quite sure what his character concept is like for this one.

3. Undecided as of now.

I'd really like to see these three character shine in the most evil of ways. I'd appreciate any ideas you suggest, and would be interested in hearing about your evil campaign characters and experiences. So, any ideas?

Possibilities that come to mind: A Modest Proposal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modest_proposal). The character behaves perfectly normally, and is intelligent, polite and rational - so long as you ignore what he has on his plate. Wears a mask or other easily removable clothing, and removes it to reveal the ruined remains of his face or a demonic symbol carved into his flesh as part of his intimidation abilities. Um. Should probably be obsessed with the deformity to a large degree, i.e. talking to it. Hrm. Lots of cackling, accompanied by generic evil-wizard threats? I cannot think of anything useful for this one, sorry.

I'll try to help with all but the first and last one's got my mind racing:

For the Rogue-ish type:
Damien (hah yes..traditional I am) Ilumine

Growing up in a place filled with scum can do things to you. It doesn't help when the best way to survive is to be creepier then the next person. Sort of like a survival instinct that becomes so ingrained you can never turn it off.

Damien has greasy black hair, a mischevious smile, and a penchant for carving off pieces of those who offend him. More often then not these pieces end up in the pot for his famed "Mystery Meat Stew.' More then one friend invited over to dinner has been unpleasantly surprised with the contents of his meal.

He never was the best fighter, leave all the heavy weapons work for someone else. Damien believed in adaptability and flexibility as key. As such, he attempts to spread his abilities out to do many things.

He's a gross character. fond of making disturbing comments to others such as "Delectable fingers you have there.' He's been kicked around enough to avoid ******* off too many bruisers, but can't help poking at least a little fun.

For the wizard:
Askelon Noor, Wizardess and Torturer
Appearance: Sleek black hair, red outfits, pale skin 'gothic' look

History:
Askelon grew up with a noble family and had a pleasant childhood. Nothing overtly bad ever happened to her, she was simply born evil.

Her parents were first clued in to the fact after hearing horrendous screams echoing from the girl's room at the age of eight. The family pet, a small cat, was strung up by its tail and was being slowly de-clawed with a hot poker. Askelon merely stated that it had scratched her and needed to be punished.

She earned the nickname "Black Widow" after she slept with three men and subsequently killed them all. The first's skin was found floating in the river..the rest was never recovered. The second was actually left alive wandering the streets. His eyes, tongue and cheeks had been shaved off with a knife and he was walking around gurgling. The third...well we don't talk about that one.

Askelon loves to inflict pain on others and decided to hone those techniques in a more arcane manner. She wanted power and the best way to do that was to become a wizard. She killed her mentor after completing training. Taking his tower and belongings as hers.

Summons up demons in rooms of the tower and they say that she makes even them scream with what she does. No one asks why she summons the demons or what she does with them.

Favors spells that weaken a target or immobilize them. It's so much more fun when they're alive. Also loves acidic spells, saying that the smell of the burning flesh just gives her the giggles.

For 3, perhaps a cleric or spellcaster dedicated to a god of Death who finds flesh of living creatures weak, and exploits this in his enemies and tries to hide it in himself. He'd use cures and buffers on himself, and only inflict spells on others (described flavor wise perhaps as literally rending the flesh off of them) or spells that harm others and heal him like Death Knell or Vampiric Touch.

Think Patrick Bateman from American Psycho, that sort of character would be awesome to play IMO. You'd look perfectly normal to everybody, but inside you are sick and twisted. Torturing women in alley's and bribing them afterward. Also think about the fact that you guys want to be close friends if you don't want evil guys to start betraying eachother.
