character questionables [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-07-06, 12:09 PM I've made a Wemic(Races of Faerun, 149), who has racial HD of 5d8, and is a Fighter2/Barbarian1. I'm wondering what I'm to do about HD, because I was told racial and class HD are not added, while I've also been told of lycanthropes, who have racial HD, and class HD, and they are added, my question is this.
Do I add the HD of my class to my racial HD, or do I take just one?

07-07-06, 03:38 PM You would add your class hit dice to you racial hit dice, so it would look like:

5d8 + 2d10 + 1d12 + Con*8.

You would have 8 hit dice, and due to the LA of +3, you would effectively be an 11th level character.

To answer your question, you add all the HD up, if wemics are +1LA (I dunno) and have 3 racial hit die, then your character is gonna be a level seven character (with fighter2/barb1)

1 level adj +
3 racial hit die +
3 class levels =

level 7 character.

Hope this helps (and is correct... its to damn early for rule spouting :P)

07-08-06, 11:50 AM my thanks, to you both, luckyleprechaun and fithero, for the answers to my quetion, i am ever so grateful, but fithero, i dont beleive it would be in CO because this is needed for the developement of the character, though thank you for your oppinion.
