| nighttree01-26-07, 11:59 PM | This character idea is a BIG departure from my norm ( I usually play the sly/spellcaster type)....but she has been STUCK in my head for two day's now....so I thought I would throw some basic information up here....and see if others found her as charming as I do. First off....this character was completly inspired by the "green" currently up at reaper miniatures....It is a Fire Giant Queen by Werner Klock (that is GREAT). Bella is stricktly a "role playing" motivated character, although I hope she has the game mechanics to survive....her personality has driven the build.....not "CO". Bella "come to mama" Physical Discription: Bella is built like your average "buxom" well muscled Dwarven female....except that as a Half-Ogre...she is just shy of seven and a half feet tall. She has dark chestnut brown hair, that she keeps long (with a few well placed braids) and well groomed. She has very dark brown skin, and large, bright brown eye's that tend to make people think of chocolate.....and chillie peppers, and she almost always has a mischeviouse twinkle in her eyes. Bella dresses in a rather "suggestive" manner, and is fond of "bar wench" blouses and corsets, which she looks about to LEAP out of. Her fingernails are not really long...but are well groomed and gilded, and she is fond of powdering her "ample" boosum, and cheecks with gold powder as well. She is extremely fond of jewellery, braclets in particular, and her earings are always large and flashy (usually hammered bronze and copper). Bella always has a cloud of aroma around her that smell's like a combination of chocolate, vanilla, and cinnomon....with a slightly musky after glow. Personality: The first thing that strikes people about Bella are the obviouse contradictions....she is obviously Half Ogre....but having been raised by humans, she makes the most of what nature has given her, and adds to it with abandon. She is quick to laugh, at herself (or others), and is a unrepentant tease.....which has spectacularly embarrising results on most human/Elven men (and has even left a few Ogre speachless). She spends much of her time in the wilds....yet busily keeps her appearance in "well groomed" form..... " Ya never know when a NICE hunk of man-flesh might be taking a "break" behind a tree". As in everything....she finds her own way, and Bella's first weapon of choice was a quarterstaff....with swords strapped to both ends. She has since had a weapon of unusual design made to her specifications....and enjoys developing her own style of fighting with it. Made for her by a Dwarven smith (who was the handi-man at the orphanage) it is a four foot long pole of Ironwood, with a three foot blade on one end and a two foot blade on the other, and is used something like a cross between a quarterstaff and a two bladed sword. That's all I have so far......I'm still looking to flesh Bella out some more. I would love feedback, and impressions. |

I laughed so loud I scared my dog. now, how did this "charming lady" get through life before she matured? stereotypically, half-orcs and ogres are despised and revolting to their neighbors. maybe a background where she was adopted by a whole tavern, with the wenches as surrogate mothers, thus explaining her attitude. And a fat softy bartender for a surrogate dad! Never able to refuse his girls, as he calls his wenches, and never able to resist his adopted daughter. |
| nighttree01-27-07, 01:02 AM | So far...my thoughts are.... Her mother was raped by an Ogre.....and despite the advice of the village mid-wife....she carried the child full term. Unfortunatly......she died during child birth due to the size of the child (something Bella actuall feels some guilt over). The village mid-wife took her to the orphanage, at just a few day's old and begged them to take her. She was raised kindly at the orphanage (although the children had their moments....as children will), but between the kindly couple of (Ex) clerics, and the Dwarven handy-man....who did everything they could to help her "fit in".....she turned out pretty good. The Dwarven "Handy-man"...is actually kind of a "surrogate" father to her (the kind that act's grumpy....then blushes when she teases him), as another "non-human" he took a fatherly attitude towards her, and tried to help her adjust to living with humans. I probably should have mentioned....Im playing in the Dragonlance reality. Bella would have been born during the time when the god's where "absent"......and the Dragon overlords had control of much of the land. She would have just reached "adulthood" at about the same time as the return of the gods. So far I have her plotted as 3rd level Ranger/2nd level fighter. Looking at taking three levels of "Exotic Weapons Master".....and still thinking about where to go from there. Possibly "Cipher Adept" from the Planer Handbook (only because it works well for developing her own style of fighting). |
