| cwferg10-01-07, 11:03 PM | I thought I saw somewhere that a cleric with War and STR Domains got Weapon Focus for free. It was in a Eberron book but I do not remember. If you know if it, which book did I see it in and page number if you know it? :P Thanks |

(Dol Dorn and the Sovereign Host as a whole grants WF (longsword). The Mockery and the Dark Six as a whole grants WF (Kama). Dol Arrah grants WF (halberd). Keepers of the Past grant WF (double scimitar).) With the kama and double scimitar, things are a bit ambiguous because they're exotic, not martial, weapons, but I think the current rule is that you get exotic weapon proficiency and weapon focus with them nonetheless. This is in the Player's Handbook, and is a direct consequence of the war domain; the strength domain is nice, but isn't really relevant to this particular question. |

Only important thing of note is you gain proficiency with that one weapon, and not the subgrouping. War domain gives you weapon proficiency for the favored weapon of that deity and weapon focus..ie long sword proficiency, but not granted martial weapon proficiency. However in the case of an exotic weapon, I guess this is moot, because a proficiency in that group requires declaration of the particular weapon that you're proficient in. I hope that helps, and doesn't confuse. |
