Followers of a zealous god of justice, punishment, and retribution, they hunt down evildoers and exact punishment upon them. Sword inscription: "Lex Talionis" ("the law of retaliation" or "an eye for an eye") |
| LiXinjian11-18-06, 05:01 AM | Dura Lex, sed Lex. (the law is harsh, but it's the law) |

| The Brat Prince11-18-06, 10:53 AM | "A Hero's Hand, A Wall of Steel." "Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titilandus" - Never Tickle a Sleeping Dragon "*** Spira, Spero" - As long as I breate, I hope "Warfare, Like Art, Is Exquisite." |

| PiedmonSama11-18-06, 06:29 PM | I once wrote up (but ended up never using ;_; ) an NPC bardess who had an inscription engraved and painted in gold into her mandolin: Los Sonidos del Cielo Encendeles los pasịnes del Infierno "The Sounds of Heaven Ignite the Passions of Hell." I thought it was cool. =p EDIT: Also, here's an idea I haven't used yet, but would like to use for a rogue or fighter character. He should have a carton worth of cigarettes (they're always available in my group's settings) and on each one have penned the name of an ex-girlfriend (of which he'd have a lot.) Just to show his hard feelings by smoking them up. |

| Angus Cotton11-18-06, 09:01 PM | In my campaign, I had a female paladin of Athena who had turned away from her god to become a Blackguard. On her magical Full Plate, she had etched in every available spot blasphemies of Athena, all written backwords. For example: "Daed Si Anehta Sseddog-Erohw Eht." She changed her name from Georgina to "Lord Anehta" as well. Creeped out my players a bit. |
