| thegreatbuddha05-15-05, 06:44 PM | IMC, the party wizard recently freed a bound imp in exchange for its servitude as a familiar for a year and a day. Within a few days, the imp began making promises of dark power in echange for certain sacrifices. I meant to simply harass the player for freeing the devil, but, much to my surprise, he jumped at the opportunity. Apart from human sacrifice and selling his soul, what would interest the devil enough to grant power (The imp isn't actually granting the power, but using his comune ability to get in touch with his higher-ups in Baator)? |
| Shar_Narishma05-15-05, 11:37 PM | self-mutilation could be fun, and maybe, one way for him to gain power, is by learning/being taught dark speech by the imp. oh, also, maybe the imp might have him deceive his party to see how dedicatd he is to "the evil within". basically, you could, depending on how the party reacts to this... if they find out i mean, begin creating a reocurring villain for your dampaign (a former party member), and maybe they must try to "turn him from the dark side" or kill him. Maybe he is "captured" and there is a plan (known by the pc's) that the big evil guy is planning on turning your frined into a half-fiend, and they might wanna stop that. (spell for turning people into half-fiends is in lost empires of faerun... and can be found as an excerpt here... http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20050202a&page=3 ... if you dont have the book itself. Hope i helped a little :D |

Let him take the next few levels to develop a fiendish template, or longer to develop a 1/2 fiend template. Generally any malicious deed pleases imps, but even more so when directed at the pure or innocent. |
