08-14-05, 01:36 AM In the campaign I am running, I am playing a Sorceror and as we all know, there is very little point in playing a sorc to lvl 20. Now, I would very much enjoy multiclassing into Archmage at lvl 16 to get its five levels and I am now searching for an appropriate prestige class to occupy the levels between.

My character is descended from golden dragons and has a preference for fire magic as well as evocation and enchantment. However, he does not want to specialize his magic in such a direct way such as going fire elementalist for that does not appeal to him. I would very much like to find a balanced class that is centred around metamagic feats.

I have checked around the forums and have found a few classes that pique my interests but I am not sure if they are balanced. Any suggestions you guys have would be MUCH appreciated.

08-16-05, 03:05 PM There are several paths you could take but if your really wanting to take a class that is more metamagically based the best is the Incantrix from Players Guide to Fearun in which you gain metamagic feats out the wazoo and nifty things like instant metamagic and snatch spell for all those who like to toy with the enemy.
